I just love how there are girls doing the same moves in the back, some of them completely in sync, others clearly trying to pick up the choreography a bit closer. There’s just so much effort and passion everywhere you look
I love how there are about six other dancers behind you, learning the variation… Everybody’s turning with you in the background! It really gives us a glimpse of what it’s like to be in the practice room. ❤
But that is exactly what it is like in any studio when all new roles/ variations are being learnt. Most of the female Corp know almost every female variation from a ballet that maybe being prepared. It is excellent training to expand and finesse one's technique. I am thinking these students are possibly learning various variations for performance in possibly competition where competitors are given a selection to choose from.
Amber, I danced 30 years ago and I can tell that your technique is absolutely fantastic. You have the makings of an incredible prima ballerina… if I could make a humble suggestion (and I know it’s hard when you are practicing in front of your peers…the hardest!)try to exaggerate your moves a little bit more in the arms (slow down when you can so the moves aren’t as mechanical come even though the way to use your arms is so beautiful !)…and use your face to express emotion. Try to think about what the character is actually going through and become that. If you combine the proper emotions and let your body show those emotions along with your impeccable technique, you’ll be the most phenomenal dancer! I realize you are just getting the moves down right now, but incorporate those things and I think you’re gonna bring everyone to tears in a good way!
Watching videos with Amber made me want to learn more about the skill and hard work it takes to dance ballet--she makes it look so good. Thanks for uploading!
This is so valuable for non dancers to see. I also enjoy the videos of the other girl that is your student. It is hard to get an "education" on how things work "behind the scene, and before make up", and almost nothing on how it relates to music, and why. The videos of The Royal Ballet on history are great, and there are a few chanels on "how to choose music for dance class". But if you don't "grow-up" in practice room - not much luck. (Oh, I'm a musician and a composer. I wrote for theater, movment, and some contemporary stuff... But no luck in finding info how to go about classical and neoclassical, etc. I realized I need to learn the language and movements, and all that.)
I appreciate a lot your title : I really liked your oriental gestures, princess offering a dance of the 7 veils or the **Bayadere** I think ! Your pretty face is as changing, moving, expressive, varying as your steps, your tricks and variation. From laughter to lightness, to clouds of smiles, regaining control and strong concentration. Dazzling and magnetic pirouettes. What an intoxicating talent of the most charming. You are earthy, delicate, delicious and extra. Congratulations
Love this variation, and your turns and execution are glorious for the amount of time you've spent learning it! This variation (La Bayadere) is kinda rare, haven't seen it at YAGP or any of the big comps.
Because in yagp, you are not allowed to perform this variation unless you have written permission. But in some competitions like adcibc, i remember you can perform this
Now this is what I’m talking about! A long video showing the girls learning and growing. We can’t see that in a short! Thank you for this! I was mesmerized!
Beautiful as always. ❤ How long does it take to memorize such a number? I understand it takes time to "perfect" it, I was wondering the time to remember the what, where and how of it. Thank you!! 😊❤❤❤
Pps I was good friends with "LA SHERAZADE", and it almost went a silent role. All poetry and stories are to look behind. Sheherazade became one of favourite..m
What music is this? It’s stunning? It’s sounds so ridiculous to say out loud but I tried to Shazam it but it found no results and thus I have no idea how to find out what this beautiful creation is called. I need it in my music library ♥️
A lot of productions don't seem to include this variation but the Royal Ballet includes it and the best version I've seen of it is the one danced by Darcy Bussell. I went to see her as Gamzatti many years ago, when Altynai Assylmuratova danced as Nikiya. When the final curtain calls came, Darcy got a bigger round of applause than either Mukhamedov or Altynai. The audience could see how well she had danced and how, even in a secondary role, she stood out. The music, as you say, is beautiful! Here's the link to her performance :- ua-cam.com/video/Fm9k3D4AwoM/v-deo.html

Ottimo il presentare il grande lavoro che sottende a quella mirabile impressione di leggerezza che poi apprezziamo nei balletti. BIGHIN GIULIO RENZO 😊😊😊😊😊😊😊😊😊😊
To my untrained eye it looks like you've learned about 95% of this variation and just got a little lost towards the end. I feel like I'm missing something. The intentionally bent arm position also looks really weird. I know it's part of the choreography, but it feels wrong. Why?
I have no connections to "Bayadère" (as we often use short names to a play to make life easier), neither would I found it wears on "Nikia". Of course this is Gamzatti (en voiture, en voilez).
The turns were insane

Amber: the reality of learning a new ballet version
Me: oh I didn’t know the reality of learning appears fucking perfect
This is one of the most beautiful variations I've seen in a while
One of my favourite variations! I love the music so much!
Beautifully danced here!
It’s very difficult to have beautiful arms and hands believe it or not, and this dancer absolutely does I love the her lightness of her arms.

This is gorgeous. And the music is mesmerizing. I could watch you dance all day!
If you learnt that without music, that's definitely a fantastic job
This music and dance are beautiful

@@faeryhooman oh wow, that's so interesting, why do dancers need written permission for this variation?
@@lionsmaine1238 it is because music copyright? im not sure
Did I count 8 revolutions? WOW! Very impressive balance!
The best variation in ballet, in my opinion.
Why did this almost make me cry?
Beauty and elegance ❤

It’s from La Bayadère, Gamzatti’s Act III Variation. The Temple Destruction Scene.
@@nikiyabayaderegimo754 I have scene this ballet a million times and haven't seen this piece. Do some companies cut it out?
Beautiful
Woops
Well, it was WAY MORE ELEGANT than not. Just needs more repetition. Very nice!!!❤❤🎉
From what ballet is it music? Very beautiful..
La Bayadère by L. Minkus

Yes, it is Gamzarri's variation from La Bayadere

I'm sure this is la bayadère the variation of Gamsatti the daughter of the rajah

Lovely very beautiful
What variation is this?
Gamzatti from "La Bayadere"
I don't understand the description, what's funny about this?
Fun factories are the fact that all the difficulties appear in one play (otherwise, we mess up with times)
Faraon's Daughter perhaps?
@simpdevaganova Thank You
