These People are NOT youth. Whatever their problems or struggles they are adults. 18 to 25 as described in the story is adulthood. It is a dis-service to call them youth. They can VOTE! They can serve in the military! Maybe if they were treated like homeless ADULTS regardless of sexual orientation, the expectation would be helping them with EMPLOYMENT and not just giving them the equivalent of a dorm life. When they hit 26 years old and can't stay in that shelter anymore THEN what? Help them get a job now like all grown-ups should.
That’s crazy how you could be a 21-year-old homeless adult and blame being homeless on your sexual orientation. Everyone is legally obligated to take care of themselves starting on their 18th birthday - no matter what their sexual orientation is.
Well iam trans i was just living in North Carolina and lost everything in the hurricane so I moved here with my mom and every job interview I went to the didn’t hire me and trust me it’s because iam transgender 🏳️⚧️ I’ve been a manager a shift leader etc my resume slays I dress amazing and my customer service skills are immaculate so yeah you wouldn’t understand
@ that’s really, really interesting how you say you have this resume with all of these job experiences and qualifications…which means people have been hiring you…but then you say people won’t hire you because you’re trans.
I n my Mrs in West Michigan, Ottawa county. We have 5 OutStanding children. All long grown. Ww took in one of thier good friends whos parents kicked him out for being gay. He lived with us for 3 yrs. Today hes in a successful career ,has an amazing life partner. Plus adopted 2 children .His angry ,prejudiced Parents? Now very old, lonely . He was their only kid.He refuses to call them his parents,. Me n my Mrs are his parents. And his kids Grandparents.
I live in Chicago suburbs and I know that in the city of Chicago it is hard being gay. Every time I visit there I find it hard to express my sexuality or be who I am because I’m afraid people will judge me and I’ll put a target on my back.
@2:35 Like she's not wrong... But kids that get kicked out due to behavior issues, it usually didn't start with them. They come from crazy environments and mirror that until some intervention comes.
Oh stfu. In my 20s I was homeless for 3 years. Lived in my car for the first 2 of those years before my car got towed. I had nothing. I walked my town asking if i could use an address to het a job. Took a little while but i now have a decent job, a better car and rent a house now. Im now 39 and have a wife and 2 kids. Took some time and a lot of work to het here. Is it where i wanted to be? No but its better than being homeless and treating myself like a victim.
Well maybe we should stop funding wars and find housing for these young guys
Thank you, Covenant House, for helping vulnerable members of our society.
I can't stop crying . . . because I'm cutting onions.

What a wonderful organization, Covenant House to help these youth transition into adulthood ❤
They are 18; to 25. They weren't kicked out for being gay but for sitting around the house. Why don't you have a job and an apartment?
Please do NOT make assumptions hence you never walked thier shoes❤
This reporting is misleading, he is homeless because his family sucks not because of his sexual orientation, he can be working two jobs at his age.

😂😂😂😂 to hell with the weirdos
New strategy: pipe down. Furl the flags. Live meekly. Help others.
Uh... maybe refer to the Ten Commandments and your parents won't kick you out. Cause and effect, in most cases.
Which one? Thou shall be heterosexual?
My god given right to have gay sex like Jesus did in the 3 day orgy
