Tom Crutchfield def a legend has so much knowledge
Great interview. Tom keeps it real.
Love his Iguanas. And a big thank you to guys like him for making it ok to own reptiles and the knowledge they gave us.
Very true words from Tom, very nice shirt too
True legend...
Love it!
Even though I went through this in the 80's I can totally relate to what Tom is saying.
So much of what we were doing was straight up guess work.
Scouring the local library for random books, bugging the "snake guys" at different pet shops, waiting all week hoping Lorne Green MIGHT mention something about Reptiles etc.....
I think that is the reason a lot of older keepers get frustrated when people ask basic questions you can get answers to in seconds.
Unfortunately a lot of people today prefer being spoon fed knowledge vs Taki the time to truly find out what is best for the welfare of said animal
That was awesome. Beautiful little iguana😍
Totally Awesome !! Eugene and Cindy are the breeders that produced my male and female Boa Constrictor Occidentalis (Argentine Boas) Nosey and Grumpy and I learned tons from him on Blog Talk Radio many years ago !!
That was a great one. Loved it! ~Angela
I remember when every pet shop had green iguanas for sale. I wonder how many of them lived over a year. We have come a long way and I think for the better.
Great interview with a great man! Love the iguana 🦎♥️👍
It has to be an amazing thing to watch the hobby over that long and see the changes. I’ve only been active for about a year (before I bought my reptiles/amphibians and read books about them but never knew about shows and hero societies. I wish I had known. It would have made my life richer.
Oh awesome video as always!!
Awesome
Man that iguana glows!
What's up Brian! Thanks for posting this I got to speak with Tom for sometime at Daytona and then when I was taking a picture with you and my kiddos I pulled him in for a picture too! Priceless, not something you could plan.
Great interview.
That iguana is amazing!!
No matter how many times I see his iguanas they blow my f#&$*^% mind🤯. Mr. Crutchfield triple OG!!!!! 🐉🐉🐉
Thank you for a great video!
That was a great interview brother
Great vid bro ,,,not long finished the book “The Lizard King” written about the beginnings of the hobby ,how reptiles got into circulation and how the reptile industry evolved into what it is today ,,Tom was in the book ,,guys definitely a game changer in our hobby 👍👍
Nice!!!!! I Hope You Get That Footage 😊
Great interview...
YAAAAASSSSSSSSS.🤘🏼
You do lot of good for the industry, man. Thank you :)
Just trying to have fun and help others do the same.
Good one Brian. Would be cool if you could get an interview with Bob Clark.
Great video. Makes me realize how little I really know about the ball python even though I own several. I know the husbandry part and where they are native to but I really would love to learn more.
I neeeeed it
Ausome interview brother
Good morning B, have an awesome day!
You too!
Nice video Brian..
Have a awesome day
You had me worried that he had passed thank heaven he is okay👌🏽
Do another ep with Tom make it Longer, like an hour PLZ!!!!!!!!!
Awesome interview with the legendary Tom Crutchfield he is like a walking encyclopedia Great video
That is very sad that people are no longer as interested in truly learning about these creatures and the wonderful places in the world that they come from. I understand where he is coming from, though. The exact same thing has happened with tarantulas. When I got my first tarantula in 1999, I still had to go to the library and study where she came from and try to provide a decent environment for her. Just checking in on a couple of internet forums, or Facebook groups, wasn't an option. Today, people aren't interested in learning about them and they can have their care information spoon fed to them by Google.
Tom is always great. Definitely a true legend.
Tom is a plethora of information & a great guy
You ain't kiddin' brother!!
Excellent, but I want more!!
Lance Kirkman Same.
Dude, how cool
Always love hearing Tom speak. Thanks for sharing as always Brian.

Hey Brian, did you say Daytona Beach? that Tom is Moving there? you all were in Daytona?? I just moved from Daytona, spent 24 years there! Thanks soo much for your time!! XoXoX
A living Legend indeed! Amazing guy and an awesome interview.
Great interview Brian! I always love listening to what the Legendary Tom Crutchfield has to say, such an ambassador of the hobby!
Was wondering what the noise was
DUDE!!! I'm so excited for next week :) I hope its really long. This was a great interview also. Always nice to hear from the founders of the hobby. Thanx Brian!!
Such an amazing interview I really love how down to earth u guys are. I used to be so afraid of Reptiles but know my 4 yr old grandson watch anything that has you or Mr. Crutchfield in it. Thank u for u both do.
Tom is such a knowledgeable person in this hobby!
You knocked it out of the park with this guy. One of the OGs for sure. Thanks for giving us such breadth in your selection of guests. Garrett needs to take some notes from you, man.
Great vlog with OG, Mr Crutchfield. All respect and notoriety to him. So good to hear how the OG’a changed and affect the reptile hobby/business. Love his amazing gold iguana 🦎! You did a good job interviewing him. Thanks 🙏!
Tom is awesome and I for sure LOVE his Diamond Carpet Pythons :o) He knows his stuff for sure and great interview with a great guest !! Gosh he's been around almost as long as I have ROFL 55 years for Tom keeping reptiles 58 for myself so I guess we're pretty much the old timers that did things the old school way :) Jesus when I first put up my youtube channel the same time Brian Barczyk did there were only around 20 youtube channels dedicated to doing reptile and snake education !!! Hell we didn't use temp guns or thermostats we relied on observation totally to learn to raise our snakes !!
Tom has probably forgotten more about reptiles then most of us will ever learn...
#spreadtheherps
I still thirst for knowledge. Sweet interview with an accomplished man.
Gmrng Brian K,
Glad to see you today , but the intro music is a little loud this morning.,haven't had coffee yet .lol
It's not a hangover it's always in the morning ,I've been sober for 24 yrs ,since I got pregnant with that beautiful daughter you met , SHAWNEE..
YOUR GUEST WAS NICE AMD INTERESTING.
TTYL CHICAGO NANA 👵💞🥀🐍
Turn it down Nana. Lol
🤙🐍🤙
Love the albino iguana, the orange and yellows are so amazing. Great to hear from one of the great founders of this industry, thanks for sharing, take care.
Awesomeness to the max. Of course it would've been nice if it was longer (that's what she said 😂) but I think that was a very interesting conversation for sure and I enjoyed it thoroughly. I've known the name Tom Crutchfield since I was a kid and saw it in the little classifieds section on the last page or two of Reptiles magazine and actually called and talked to Mr. Crutchfield to ask if he had a price list with all his available animals he could mail me. I can't wait for next week's episode. I'm sure it's going to be fan-freakin-tastic. As always it's you homey Richard living in The Rock sending much love, support, and respect to you and your family. I hope all the Kuskos are doing great.
Tom first then eugene! Talk about allstar lineup

Morphmarket for sure. Just be aware, it is a very addictive hobby and that website is gonna be the death of me!!!
Nice, Mr. Crutchfield is on my wishlist to meet and talk with. Where would we be if he hadn't choose to pursue his passion for reptiles? It is scary to think about it.
When was or is the interview with balls2u.
Mantis Express Gonna be a little while. Several interviews ahead of his still

@@Redline_Report LOL
Why does the hobby ignore Mr. Crutchfield's multiple convictions for smuggling endangered species?
Joel Patenaude I don't think it's ignored so much as accepted. Probably because those species wouldn't be in captivity in the states otherwise.
Seems like that's an after the fact, by any means necessary sort of justification. Does the hobby respect national and international law against the removal of endangered species from their natural habitats or not? Mr. Crutchfield didn't. And that makes him worthy of praise? Looks like a white washing of a dubious character.
@@joelpatenaude7125 I think what the hobby respects/doesn't respect covers as broad a spectrum as the diversity of people involved with it. In the end, I think we can only decide for ourselves individually. Personally, I don't always approve of people's actions, but I also won't subject someone to a lifetime of condemnation for past mistakes that they've already paid for. With respect to each scenario being its own special case.
@@Redline_Report I agree. But I think if you're going to talk to Mr. Crutchfield about what's changed in the hobby from his perspective, it would make sense to ask him what he learned about collecting animals within legal bounds. Asking him to reflect on that isn't condemning him, it's giving him an opportunity to express regret or pride or both. For you to not even broach the subject, however, comes off as you being overly deferential to a figure who is undeniably controversial. I realize that you are an industry rep and not a journalist, so asking questions like these may not feel appropriate. Nevertheless, the interview was a disappointment. This is the first time I felt that way about any of your content.

The NFL accepted
