@@luisjulian619 pressed the 'reset' button. After the 3rd time the unit allowed me to change he date and time! Now I love this unit! I night even buy one to install into my wife's car.

Curious if the 'fix' for time and date 'stuck?' I have an Atoto A6 which I am constantly fixing the time and date. It never stays correct. I had another Atoto A6 in a vehicle I sold which never had the date time issue.

Your a life saver I was listening to music yesterday just fine and today this thing was connecting blutooth but wouldn't play my music I would hit play and it would just stop.. your fix with the 8888 reboot was fantastic and worked like a charm I have only had this unit since Friday still learning it, thank you!!
You don't need to reset multiple times to set time and date.... here's what you need. Go to CAR SETTINGS --> scroll down to ANDROID SETTINGS --> select "Go To Settings" --> SYSTEM --> DATE & TIME. Uncheck " Automatic Time Zone and select your correct zone. Problem Solved!!!

How long have you had the unit? How is it holding up?
Have to Hikity leaves a lot to be desired. Had to modify the fascia of their 2011 Corolla kit to get the AC vents to fit right. Shorted me a harness and one of the USB cables was bad. Buggy firmware. I ended ditching their launcher and went with a standard launcher. Better experience.
Caution about flashing updates from non OEM sources. I flashed one from XDA, worked fine but the MCU flash changed the CAN settings and FM radio is a bit buggy now. Anyone know how to get in touch with HiKity support just to get the original MCU flash?
Over all, it's better than the Toyota headunit from 2011. If I can get the MCU flashed back I can be happy with this unit. Next time I do a HU swap, I'll just poney up for Pioneer, Kenwood or Alpine.
I am considering buying one of these for a 2013 Nissan Rogue. I was thinking about one that has Snapdragon so it doesn't go so slow. It hadn't occurred to me to search for software on XDA.

Mine is having trouble connecting to WiFi/Hotspot. It will say failed to connect to network when I put in the WiFi code. Anyone have any ideas?
Mine did that once I had to get a new phone. I hit the reset button and it worked.

I had a similar problem and finally realized the WiFi antenna is on part of the backup camera connector on the back of the unit. It’s only about 2-3” long but makes a big difference.

If it was made in the United States it would tell you the right time and the right date but then again it cost $4,000 so maybe not hate so much on China who gives us the ability to have the biggest TVs and all kinds of electronics at rock bottom prices because there are people over there working for pennies and no bathroom breaks😮

Ok so for entertainment, I enjoy watching and reading people's reviews on android powered devices whether it may be a car stereo or even something basic as a Digital Picture Frame, all android devices have developer settings. They are Hidden Always on every android phone, tablet, etc. This is simply a tablet with a themed program. Go to Settings > About > Find Build Number > Tap 10 Times > it may ask for the factory settings code maybe not, now it's enabled. Now when you go back to the main settings page, you will see "developer options" at the bottom of the list. Scroll all the way down to background processes, click the option that says "3 or more processes". Scroll a little up to the animation settings and turn all animation to "0.5" which will be the ammount of time the animations run such as sliding your finger between apps and the homescreen or google maps moving along your route. THIS WILL SPEED THE LIVING HELL OUT OF YOUR STEREO in terms of performance, quickness, and nothing but 3 apps will run in the background. Now if you need more than 3 apps open such as music, google maps, wifi connection, along with android auto link or carplay, you may need to click the option back in developer settings to "4 or more processes". It's also going to speed up your CPU since it has less to work with including your touch response time.
Update me after you've done this and I want to see your reaction. Personally I don't care for animations at all so I set them to 0 but it makes it ultra fast which may be too quick for some I guess in terms of abruptly clicking apps too fast. I'm gonna change your vehicular-screen life! lol

Hey i would suggest you to go in clock/time settings and turn the 'use network provided time' and 'use network provided time zone' options to ON.
Also if that doesn't help, i would suggest you to cross check the ACC wire and the B+ (battery positive) wire connections, because if they are connected in a wrong way then the stereo unit will not remember the time and date settings once you turn off the key. (try connecting in a opposite way both acc wire and B+ wire). Hope this helps.
I forgot to mention the GPS.... The GPS is good but I prefer running Google Maps. Google Maps excells where the on-board Navigation fails. The on-board Navigation doesn't account for or have options for different routes nor doesn't give an ETA.
I have podofo android and its basically the same thing... Your clock is in a different country. Let me know if you want me to help you change it. I cant believe you couldnt figuere it out
I got one of these about 3-4 months ago. Worked good for about 2 months. Has alot of cool features basically a tablet but slower .now Nothing but its freezing 90 percent of the time. now volume has a mind of his own. Hardly works anymore.but i kept resetting and hoping for the best.
That sucks.... Mine is now doing some pretty strange things. When I start the vehicle I never know what to expect. Sometimes the unit has the radio on and it's cranked way up. Sometimes it's on a different menu screen than where I left it. These things are a little annoying but I'm just glad the clock and date are fixed.....OH....Sometimes when I start the 4runner the clock and date are way off...5-10min later it's back to the correct date and time. Also, once in a while the unit will not connect to my Hotspot so I have to go in and turn the wifi off and back on again.🤨🤪
I wouldn't by this unit again but for the price it was hard to pass up. I think if I decide to change the unit I'll get a Samsung. 💯

I was wondering....I have the same exact dash as you and am getting a 10 inch similar to yours....(mines atoto) did you have to do any modifications to get yours to fit?
As long as you can fit a dual din your radio will fit. It wont be flush and stick out like a tesla like his does but it should work.
Go to android settings go down to time and date. It's a on switch somewhere . Then scroll down to your time zone

I have the same radio its definitely very unsafe to try to drive and watch UA-cam on it almost crashed a few times lol don't give in to the temptation LOL I do still have UA-cam videos playing when going on long road trips but I mostly just listen to them and glance over every now and then

haha. love your video bro. i have the same unit. trying hitting the reset button on the unit itself. Take a pin and hold the button. hopefully it should fix the time zone and allow you to change it in the settings.

The sound quality of this unit is why it is garbage. If you have a premium sound system, this unit will not work with it. Everything else is really cool, besides the fact I could not edit the home screen. This thing sits in my garage my a box.
My hikity screen that installed in 2004 honda civic, in two months the screen look terrible yoy can't see nothing. 😢 don't buy this. I don't recommend.

You might have the ignition and constant battery power wires swapped. It needs constant battery power on the correct wite to retain time

If it's a "double din" this may work. I had to do extensive modifications to make it fit for the 4runner.

You've got the wrong region settings in the setting menu, which is why your time and date wasn't correct.
Thanks for the update. Double check if you have the parking or ebrake wire connected. That may be blocking the clock adjustment

Your having this problem. Do to your phone,cellular carrier provider. If you just tether your phone to it. You will get better performance.
Been through this process.
I watch movies and live tv while listening to Bluetooth audio. No problems at all.

There are no steering controls or backup cam on our 4runner. However, there should be wires labeled for each once the head unit is pulled out of the dash.
