When I got my first hamster I had her in a critter trail cage. I didn’t mean the cruelty the pet stores sold it to me and I got it I was very unaware now I am getting another robo hamster and I am creating a large bin cage and adding all the materials and enrichment. Thank you so much for helping me improve the lifestyle of my hamsters and the care I provide them with ❤

I love this idea. We made our own platform and hide boxes as well. My husband already had a lot of the tools. But the wood and glue was pretty cheap as well.

I love this! I just made one for my hamster as she really like multi chamber hides and stuff. In canadian dollars its SOOOO expensive, for Miso I got the small version so it was around $30 - $40
Now I need more cardboard 👍❤

I don't have a hamster, but the technics used, can be applied to built so many animal toys.
This helped so much! I have a hairless hamster named Harry (Haha, funny pun, my older sister named him, not me) and we keep using products for him that I didn't use to care about that much until I started to watch your videos and i denfinly got second thoughts. We used a plastic igloo, a tank/cage/idk what to call it for their enclosure that doesn't let us put i na lotta bedding and yea. He chews up literally everything. So we can't get a lotta stuff but these vids helped me with Harry! thanks Victoria
This is great! I bought a nice wooden one but my late Syrian Simba peed all over it and I didn't notice it while cleaning until I saw mold!!! For my future hams this will be much easier for my pocket and my hamsters as if they do destroy it I can compost it for my garden.

i got some 2x4ft slabs of birch wood for $3 a sheet and am gonna use this tutorial (with a little modifications) to create a diy niteangel hide!

I just made my hamster a diy multi chamber wood hut yesterday saved me 20 bucks!
I just was watching old videos… and realised how bad my hamsters were treated…. There’s 4 of them….I was given them by a guy cause he was throwing them out.. genuinely.. he gave me a litter box claiming it was a cage, small bottle and food.. tiny wheel… two toys.. there 2 weeks old… I’m lucky to have the mother of them, he might give me more next week… these videos have been so helpful thank you

Great tutorial, thank you!! Do you usually buy new cardboard boxes for the DIYs, or do you use boxes in which you've received packages? I'm afraid of reusing boxes as they're bound to be dirty from all the handling and traveling.
I bought new cardboard since it's cheap but I know many people that reuse packages with no issues.

What I did was poke small holes and use a hamster safe string and tie it to the base part idk if it makes sense but it worked for me

Thanks! I can’t say for sure if all are safe, the best thing is to read the bottle to see if it says non toxic and water based!

Hey, okay i need your help . So I am updating my hamsters tank it is 288 sq inch to a 1000 sq inch tank . Okay I am adding a sand bath but I live in India 😅 and there is no safe sand bath here or on amazon. Either it is with fragrance or too expensive like 11,980 rupees also there is no safe children's play sand , so what should I do? Thanks if you can 😊
