3 weeks in!! 🎉 3c/4a hair, started with c-parts and coils. My hair isn’t super dense and I want them thick so I only have 65 locs. I’m so excited to see how they mature.
welcome to the loc community🙌🏾🎉 the starter loc stage is truly the best getting to see your hair go through all the changes! i did the same thing with getting a low count bc i wanted thick locs👏🏾 def document as much as you can🙌🏾🤎
This video just told me that I’m doing great and everything’s gonna be okay 🖤 shout out the UA-cam girlies, y’all’s content has been with me every step of the way
some say mousturize with water and some say moisturize with hydrating liquids (aloe vera juice, seamoss water, hydrosols...etc) then seal it with a pure oil
My tip on how I locked faster is I got instant locs. The downside to it is as it grew I didn’t expect the root to mid go thru the starter loc journey and the ends don’t have to because it was instantly loced. I’m happy with my choices😂
Anyone has a problem with their starter locs being too stiff especially after washing them?Like...they point in all directions except lying down neat. Looks very untidy. What do I do to soften them
No disrespect but why do we need to hurry the loc process? We in this society where we want things now now now. Why can't we appreciate life and just be? Why can't we just appreciate our hair learning how to form itself into a baby loc plant growing on our head? That's what I did and she's flourishing! Love, care and be patient with your hair. It's that simple. And please *never* compare your hair to others! Your hair is unique and specially gifted to you. Accept yourself and accept your hair.
Well some starter locs just don't look good. Mine are a rough texture especially when dry and the loc pieces just don't lie on my head downwards and look neat. Some point upwards looking so untidy. We don't want to look like that for a long time so the faster they lock the better.
Because everyone is different and has their own views on life. Some dont mind the process some do. Just listen and respect peoples wishes. Try not to want to force your views on others.
I love frizzy locks

I second all these tips! Thick, juicy loc gang checking in lol 💦🤟🏽
Thank you for the tips. One question tho. how did your parts stay clean, when you drench your head. did you use a stocking cap or without?
