Wow! First time I’ve come across this. You grew up hearing Compas but never knew the history behind it etc. Amazing! Thanks for sharing. Jusqu'à présent je n'arrive pas à comprendre pourquoi les groupes d'aujourd'hui ne veulent plus jouer cette musique et la laisse se perdre. Aux alentours des années 2000 le compas à évolué logiquement selon les codes du compas direct mais aujourd'hui n'importe quoi. Même les groupes les plus connus qui jouait très bien il y a encore quelques années delaissent le compas direct et quand ils sortent des albums c'est tout juste si il y a 1 ou 2 musique rythmée. Heureusement que tout dernièrement le groupe zafem a relevé le niveau et honorer la culture haïtienne par sa musique. Heureusement aussi que on peut encore compter sur des groupes comme septentrional tropicana ou encore système band
