I think there's a song by Sparks that mentions Socrates but don't quote me on that...
Check out WORLD PARTY's track "Is it Like Today". It dont mention Socrates by name but rather talks of Athens and the philosophic impulse (like Hitch here) to understand the meaning of things over the history of our western civilization
Can't think of any songs but there was a hard rock '70s band in Greece named Socrates! Worth checking out for the guitarist alone.

Great song, classic Robyn. Awful video, though: sorry, but it simply desecrates the song, killing the ,mystery (hey there's a good title for an R.H. song; help yourself Robyn) by wincingly overstaing the obvious, illustrating the lyrics to a no-surprises-here death.
