    Well it secures the edges evenly so you don't get air pockets. I used double stacked coffee stir sticks, single ones are to flexible. Gives you an even clamp across the seam.

    This is why you should never buy a "mistake car". There are not really that many mistakes made in factory so most likely is a fake. Best way to stop it is nobody buy these... ever. Good idea to tell store about fake returns too. This fraud just hurts all collectors in the long run. Glad I saw this. Thanks.

    This is by far the best way I've seen to remove the plastic packaging without damaging the card back. But you are the only one I could find who does it like this.
    Do you have any idea why others would prefer to use knives/scissors to cut into the bubble instead? It's not like the can reseal it after that kind of treatment anyways.

  • @yakacm
    @yakacm 10 років тому

    Hi great vidia, just seen your thing saying nail varnish remover don't work, I think it may depend on the formula as I tried it and it worked a treat, I glued it back together using just normal PVA glue which either dries clear, or I can't see it cuz it's white against the white background of the card. I did it with Hot Wheels Highway Hauler 2, I opened it took the car out and then resealed the blister empty so I now have the car displayed on top of the blister, very cool tip TY. I just looked up that Aleene's Tacky Glue and it is PVA, I have a gallon on Evo Stick PVA glue that I bought of Amazon for £7, I had no need for it I just couldn't resist a gallon of glue for £7, funnily enough I have a box of the same clips that you use to hold the card and blister together, which I didn't have a use for either when I got them, they were the right price and I knew i'd have a use for them sometime, and bingo here it is.

    • @poochefmarowbePoochman
      @poochefmarowbePoochman 10 років тому

      This is true however if you re-wet it and clamp it together you don't need glue! Oh if your into making dioramas you can reduce the glue with dish soap to apply dirt foliage, sand whatever soaks in real good leaves no noticeable residue. I love Aleene's!!!!! My wife bought 3 gallons of white glue for 2 bucks each! She brought it home, and I'm like what on earth am i gonna do with all that!!!! Lol

    • @yakacm
      @yakacm 10 років тому

      I have tried it a few more times and it wasn't as successful as the first time, I did get some pure a acetone but it left brown stains on the card, I think maybe it had something in it to induce vomiting if it was swallowed. What I did find was the results were more dependant on what brush I used, I got the best results using an old paste brush of my daughters which had very thick six stiff bristles on it, and the nail polish remover, you also need to let it soak in before you start to try and remove the blister.
