The truth of the matter is that Chris Brown has consistently put out Chart Topping singles and has single-handily turned multiple "lower" artists' tracks, into a Top 5 single. This man has been nominated for 15 and only won 1 Grammy? People will down-play this guy but can't say he hasn't been one of the Top 10 artists' who drops great music consistently that gets stuck in damn near EVERYONE'S head. Come on.. I think the question we really need answered is what kind of music is "Grammy worthy"? Its the equivalent to movies like "The Avengers" being the biggest movies in the world but still not pulling in any Oscars.Also who are the people that have the power to make those decisions? are they measuring commercial success or Artistic Value? who actually are the people that get to sit down and decide how much an artist work is worth and how does one get to sit at that round table? are they even musicians?

I pretty much agree with this whole video. Although if the only way to make an MJ biopic was to go against his wishes, I would just NOT make one. But yeah, Chris Brown's music (at least his recent stuff) has very little artistic merit or crossover appeal. The Grammys can be completely wrong a lot of the time, but this is not one of those times.

Chris needs to learn from Rihanna and atleast give us something different on an album because his last four albums all sound the same. F.A.M.E was his best work. He needs an Usher's "Confession" type of album and that would of been perfect and something we were expecting with "Royalty" since his child is a part of the marketing strategy for that album but it has nothing to do with her as the album caters more to "Fucking Bad Bitches" club anthems. Missed opportunity. So Chris doesn't deserve a Grammy at this point because the album got terrible reviews and it wasn't "Pure Genius" more like "Pure Trash" tbh. And I like his music but there is a point where you need to do something different and not come out with the same shit all the time.

Just because a film is a box office success doesn't mean it was a critically acclaimed film. There's tons of films that have been box office successes, but they sucked greatly. the Academy looks at critically acclaimed films, not commercially acclaimed films.
