I found an option to keep it on, if you done these steps and see the digital speedometer turn off the engine fully than restart your ignition and press the little button on top of your indicator spoke you have to keep pressing that button until it sais km/h or mph after a sec or 3 it will appear larger like it is suppose to. Hope this helps :D
@@goodlistener414 On your indicatorspoke you have a button on the end that says "BC" you need to press that button a few times till you see your current speed. (Note that the steps before that arent needed) Also if you have the old orange cluster the speed will show up but not as big as the new 2018 cluster) If you cant figure it out i'll make a quick vid, let me know :)

Why all that work to choose the digital speed? Simply press the button on the lights stick (the stick on the left of the steering wheel) to change the display info until it stays on digital speedometer
Simple just press the button on the lights stick on the wheel to change the display info on the speedometer. You don’t need to go and scroll on the idrive menu.
Good result for me. It worked on a 19-Plate X1. Thank you.
Thanks mate. Helped me out of a tight spot that. Trying to set up my wife's 2 series Grand Tourer. 😂😁👍 Thanks.
Did it work on your wife’s 2 series ?

Can you have this SOFTWARE in BMW f20 116 2014?
When you turn the ignition off does it reset? Do you have to use this trick every time you start the car for digital speedo?
No, only when the fuel gauge reaches on reserve. :)

Edgar Pinheiro doesn’t work
@@Cal3sty it works on my X1 2018
It beats me, how BMW can be so stupid not to have digital speed as a default. They are stuck so in the 1980'ies.
I did this in mine but when you turn the car off and start it again it comes off the screen. Anyone know how to keep it on permanently?
Simple just press the button on the lights stick on the wheel to change the display info on the speedometer. You don’t need to go and scroll on the idrive menu.
Just make it one of the shortcut numbers that’s what I’ve done
No extra package needed to get this? Like "speed limit info" or "Instrumentenkombination mit erweiterten Umfängen"?
did not work for me on 2017 active tourer
Is ur radio screen and gauge cluster OEM from the factory, or did you retrofit?
Jason Plates hi, it’s from the factory
I wonder if will work on my 2018 320i Shadow Edition
Does this work on the 116i petrol model
Might work or it might be only on sport edition. i am not sure
