  • In this video I talk about denying yourself things you want and working hard instead. You can apply this to anything, even mathematics in some sense. Do you have any opinions or advice? If so, please leave a comment below.

      Is it really the wild, with a camera and mic picking you up while you are DRIVING, distractedly talking to who?! Being an “influencer” for who?! This cultural phenomenon must end soon. It is so malignant, non-profound, cliche, and narcissistic.

    • @OrdenJust
      @OrdenJust 8 днів тому

      @@skiphoffenflaven8004 Yes, it really is the wild. Notice how at the beginning of this video, the math sorcerer does not list any axioms, does not state any definitions, nor list any prerequisites. If that is not wild, well, it is at least intellectual anarchy. it borders on ... physics! (Excuse me for a moment....I must calm down after this frisson.)

      @@skiphoffenflaven8004I think he's being an influencer for people in stem who are struggling. So statistically chronically alone students and teachers contemplating their worth in a field that "will teach you about stress and strain" as my nonchalant physics professor joked. At the wide eyes Asians and dead eyed or Adderall fueled white kids expense.
      And it gets worse. Of all types to condemn, I'd choose the influences not trying to inspire people in a field that appears to be dying at times.

    In college we had a project to implement a multitasking OS for a microcontroller. It was done in assembly. I had spent 4 day and night debugging the code and reading the printout of the code over and over. Finally I gave up and went sleep at 1:30 am and then woke up at 4:30 am to use the bathroom. While taking care of business and half asleep a thought came up that there was some code deep in the printout and I was pushing data on the stack but didn’t pop all the data. I ran to my computer and that’s exactly what was happening. I don’t know how it all clicked but I think your subconscious is aware of a lot more than your conscious mind. This disengagement from work allows ideas to come up.

      I think that's why Seymour Cray would dig tunnels in his yard. It's the kind of activity that acts like a sensory deprivation experience, which probably allows the mind to go over things that are stuck or not working, and to see more clearly the solution to the problem. I think we fail to see these kind of sub-conscious 'hints' when we're distracted by the details of our life lived in noisy environments, with constant interruption.

    People tend to forget that, up to a certain point, the brain and muscles are very similar. If you are constantly working out, e.g. your biceps, without rest and good nourishment, you will never see gains. It's proper control between rest, and exercising what will bring you to the best of your results.
    In other words, to strengthen your synaptic connections, after hard study, YOU NEED TO REST and DISTRACT YOUR SELF.

Getting truly shredded is a brutal process, but I can pretty much guarantee you that if you can tough out a month or two on 1200 daily calories of eggs and apple, you'll look like you stepped off a magazine cover. Sure, by the end of the process you'll need an O2 tank and IV coffee bag just to walk to the end of your driveway, but by golly, you sure will LOOK like Mr Fitness 😂
