ISRAEL: TEL AVIV: RABIN'S ASSASSIN MAKES SECOND COURT APPEARANCE

    Yigal Amir, who is accused of murdering Israeli Prime Minister Yitzhak Rabin, appeared in court in Tel Aviv again today.
    With him were with two alleged accomplices believed to have conspired with him to carry out the assassination. They are his brother Hagai Amir and Dror Adani.
    The three were brought before a magistrate for another remand hearing, and all three suspects were detained in custody.
    Amid tight security, the three defendants entered court and appeared to be in good spirits.
    All three suspects were handcuffed. Yigal Amir wore a white stripped dress shirt, and a colourful sweater draped over shoulders.
    Hagai Amir wore a green sweater and Dror Adani wore a blue sweater.
    Family and friends of the defendants were in court.
    Prosecutor Pnina Guy said that three judges should try the case, because of the severity of the crime and the importance of the case to the public.
    Defence lawyer Moshe Maroz, challenged the application of the prosecution.
    However, presiding Judge Menahem Ilan sided with the prosecution and ruled that that the case would be dealt with by a three judge panel.
    He has yet decide on another prosecution application to extend the detention of Hagai Amir and Dror Adani until the trial.
    Pnina Guy said the pair were dangerous to the public
    Amir's friends and family were in court throughout the hearing, including his father.
    The hearing will continue next week.
