I saw this video just 3 days before catching my first sailfish in the Caribbean. We were able to bring the fish to the boat then revive it so it could go on to make more little sailfish. Thanks for the info.

heading to jupiter from orange city thursday,friday,and saturday. with the blue rod what is the preferred bait?(live(sardines) or artificial(D.O.A. swimmin' mullet, islanders, etc.
Im from Puerto Rico and i can`t really find a good setup for random fishes like Mahi Mahi,sailfish etc.. If you think of any setup that might help me it would be greatfull. P.S I love your videos

i obviously noticed in your sponsors. but that doesn't mean that you're using them. it is very un common for a billfish to get gut hooked with a circle hook, especially a sailfish. that is why i thought you weren't using them. apologies. still never nice to see though. there was a lot of blood. but great job with the super light tackle!
why the hell aren't you using circle hooks?!?!? the fish was gut hooked and bleeding everywhere. you guys should know better....... i am a fishing guide in mozambique and always use circle hooks because survival rate is much higher and you get a better hook up. not impressed.

@tonyel120 The rod I caught the fish on was an 8' Flats Blue Meat Stick. The other Flats Blue rods on the boat were the NEW Offshore Series.
if you paid attention, you would have seen that we were using a Lazer Sharp circle hook.
