🎸 Cause of Death of Country Singers | Country Music Stars Who Have Died
Вставка
- Опубліковано 5 кві 2024
- Death is an inevitable truth for all people, but somehow it's even more tragic when it's unexpected, as was the case with these country singers who died before their time.
Some were victims of tragedy, while others lost health battles, and even more played a role in their own sad fate. Mindy McCready was just 37 when she took her own life. Patsy Cline and Jim Reeves both died in tragic plane crashes, while Eddie Rabbitt left the world as a result of a hard battle with lung cancer.

Rest in peace to Toby Keith one of my favorite country singers of all time
You forgot David "stringbean" Akeman and his wife that was murdered in 1973!
Killer never caught
Yes, the two killers were caught.@@David-yw2lv

@@David-yw2lvl0 was 1¹
@@David-yw2lv The killers were caught, two cousins, one died in prison, the other paroled about 10 years ago
A lot of them died in plane crashes. A lot of them died from pulmonary diseases from smoking too many cigarettes. And some of them live good long lives because they took care of their self. And a lot of them drank a lot of hard alcohol. And some of them just didn’t take care of themselves. Too bad I really liked a lot of the stars. I wish some of them were still alive especially Chad Atkins. He was my favorite guitarist of all time I’ve actually been playing guitar for the last 50 years and can play some of his songs. They’re not easy. They’re very hard. And poor Toby case tied to you and so did a lot of others. Thanks for the videos. Have a beautiful day.👍😎😄❤️🎸
It doesn’t matter at this late date but Hank Williams didn’t die of a drug overdose. He had a degenerative disease that crippled his internal organs and the alcohol that he consumed (and not to excess either) caused a complete shutdown. There were many accounts of his weakened condition in the last year of his life.
Yeah I guess the alcohol morphine and all the other drugs that were in his system had nothing to do with it.
@@robertbertram5158there was nothing found in his system. His neurological condition caused him to appear drunk after a couple of drinks. He DID tend to drink heavily and took pain killers too but at the time of his death he had nothing in his system.
The drugs caused him to have a heart attack cuz it was a phony docter the gave him the meds@@robertbertram5158
@@robertbertram5158he had heart failure.
I hah heard there was a complex thing with Hanks death. Thanks for information
RIP to theses great country singers...
You forgot John Prine, Jerry Jeff Walker, Guy Clark and Townes Van Zandt
Overlooked a couple like
Jody Miller (80) couple days after Loretta Lynn
Cowboy Copas and Hawkshaw Hawkins both in the same plane crash that claimed Patsy Cline
Minnie Pearl 82
Mickey Gilley 86
Hawkshaw Hawkins and Cowboy Copas same plane crash that claimed Patsy Cline
Toby Keith too 62
@@KaneBrownfan1993Toby Keith is clearly on this list. Open your eyes
Patsy, Loretta, Tammy, Olivia, Naomi. So many heroes gone way too soon. 😔😔
Troy Gentry died the same day as Don Williams in a helicopter crash.
Where's Troy Gentry from Montgomery Gentry 😕
Mel street ,Faron young ,Gary Stewart all self inflicted gunshots ,but a great list of greats 👍🙏
I believe that Bob Lumen was in that group, also.
He was a true musician a true talent and a legend I still love his songs
Freddie Fender, June 4, 1937 to October 14, 2006, he had several big hits and was quite popular for many years.
Garrett Woolf here and I grew up with all of these country music legends from the 1920’s that’s real country music
Geez, I grew up knowing all of these singers. Suddenly feeling very mortal
Jim Croce
Roy Orbison
John Denver
Olivia Newton-John
Jimmy Buffett
They weren't county. Their easy listening/middle of the road pop sound landed them quite a few county crossovers, but they were more pop than country.
Jim Croce wasn’t a Pop star. He was a folk singer.
So what?
WOW, still though I bet you ran and brought their records non-the-less.
@@ronaldsteele6151 except for Olivia yes. She was very cute, but I wasn't fond of her music.
As the matter of fact. John Denver is country musician
Back when country music was an art.
It's amazing how folks forget about Gary Stewart.
I’ll miss these awesome singers 😢
It's amazing how young a lot of these singers were.
Can’t forget about Hoyt Axton (1938-1999)
Definitely can't forget about Hoyt, he was awesome and his mother was quite the songwriter also, jailhouse rock etc etc
Kenny Dale, Covid, 2020. Great singer who never got the recognition he truly deserved. RIP, Kenny Dale.
Freddy hart, razzy bailey, Ronnie stoneman. All friends of mine.
I don't think bj Thomas sing country music I think he sings pop. I can't belive Toby Keith had passed away may he rest in peace.
(Hey Won't You Play) Another Somebody Done Somebody Wrong Song is considered country music.
Great singers
Didn’t see Troy Gentry on the list
He passed the same day as Don Williams.
You forgot Jerry Lee Lewis, who died on Oct. 28, 2022
God doesn't play games
No he got a age for all us to go
As if they deserved to go out like that thanks god.
You all will never be forgotten always in are heart
You also forgot Jeff Cook of Alabama died of Parkinson’s disease.
I remember when Joe Diffie died, I grew up with him. I was sad for a straight week. Also rest in peace Toby Keith, I used to listen to him When I was in the car with my dad and he still had the CDs for a car. Memorable times.
Mindy McCready's death was the saddest.
Please don't take this the wrong way. She achieved too much fame too quick that she couldn't handle it. Sadly she had nobody to stand by her and help her.
I 100% go with Ronaldsteel6151 on this idk ft Scotty mceardys mom or not
@@KaneBrownfan1993No. If she were alive today, she'd be 50 in '25.
We lost toby way to soon rest in peace 🕊️
You forgot Joey Feek.
Lots of alcohol and smoking deaths.
Isn't Mindy McCready a kick ass character
Never knew Tom T. Hall committed suicide (5:22) or that Mickey Gilley (5:34) died of COVID. Thanks so much for this, though it's not a very pleasant list.
You forgot Harold Reid, bass singer for the Starlet Brothers. He died April 24, 2020 at the age of 80 due to kidney failure.
Crazy all the plane crashes.
You didn't mention Billy Walker.
You forgot Gary Stewart
Dave Dudley? Red Simpson?
Hank Thompson? Justin Townes Earle? KT Oslin?
All left out.
Such a shame to see so many suicides.
Rest In Peace, Ain't Nobody Gettin' Out Alive, Y'all...
R.I.P. Olivia Newton John. Xanadu for ever.
Charlie Pride passed away in 2020 (86 years old) of complications from covid.
The death that stringbean and his wife faced was horrible over money I guess never mind that that were people
You forgot little jimmy dickens cardiac arrest
Did you forget Minnie Pearl?
Gary Stewart (not mentioned here) committed suicide on December 16, 2003. he was born May 28, 1944.
rest in peace !
Listen to the music in the background, what kind of music is it?
Rip
I didn't know Tom t. Hall passed away. I'm related to him.
Willie Nelson actually died 20 years ago but the Angel of Death got stoned with him and forgot to take him.
43 was crazy
What about the great Roy Acuff...Daryl Singletary, Jeff Carson, Charlie Pride, Hal Ketchum, Kevin Sharp, Daron Norwood, Doug Supernaw, Joe dee Mesina, wow unfortunately there are more😢
Charlie Pride is on the list; Jo Dee Messina is still alive.
@@maryherlein242 omg she is!!! Thank you lord
Roy Acuff is number 58
@mikemorgan5815 ohh OK..thank you
Jim Croce and Patsy Cline died in plane crashes. Suicide and drug. A few illnesses. Sad.
I dont know if Croce was country i think he may be as country as Beyonce is?
Beyonce isn't country or rather not the country i grew up with
Croce’s way more country than Beyonce.
Number 1 still hurts
So many great ones gone they will never be replaced and also some of the information on here is incorrect
I didn’t know half of them even died. Plane crashes account for more than 1/3rd of deaths
I never realized how many committed suicide.
You Forgot Troy Gentry
They left out "Country Boy" Eddie Burns.
True
You also forgot Don Walser of Texas
You forgot Roy Roger
Lot of people dying young.
Jim Croce was NEVER a country singer. His music was pop with a folk influence! His music was played mainly on Top40 radio stations.
No
He’s more country than these current Nashville artists
Are you okay ???? Calm down with the “NEVER”….chill down
Johnny Horton, Amercian singer
Patsy cline, American Country Singer
Jim reeves, American singer
JIM CROCE, AMERICAN SINGER-SONGWRITER........
Lmao see the difference bud??
P.s chances are he wrote music that other country singers sang
It doesn’t say Country Singer.
Where’s Jerry Lee Lewis!?
You left out Troy gentry of Montgomery Gentry he passed away in a helicopter wreck
What about Johnny Rodriguez
He’s still alive and well
Yo where the heck is The Killer JERRY LEE LEWIS in this line up. He was a Country Music Hall of Fame member and made some of the best country music ever
Patsy Cline, 30 and Hank Williams, 29 both look much older than their ages.
They left out a lot
Exactly why I'm retiring at 55. That's even if I make it 😂
I LITERALLY SCREAMED AT TOBY KEITH THIS IS HOW I FIND OUT HE FUCKING DIED??????
He died February 5. My mom told me the next day. Took a while for it to really sink in…
Hey, where is Troy Gentry
Elvis wasn’t a country singer he was a rock singer
He did a lot more country and gospel in the 70s
Are you kidding? He also had country albums out too. And gospel.
It was difficult to tie him down to a specific genre of music.
Long live ROCK 🤘☝️👍🏻😂
So many wonderful country singers are dead. Some i didnt know died
It’s almost like everyone dies…
Since when was Elvis a country singer, or Roy Obirson?
What about Boxcar Willy
You forgot “stompin” Tom Connor’s, I think he’s past if I’m correct, maybe not.
Yes in '13, I believe.
Hank Williams had heart failure.
Elvis Presley was a pop and rock singer
Wow most of them are dead around 60.
How about Tory gentry 2017
Not listed here is Buck Trent (cause of death never revealed).
Hank had a heart attack. Drugs weakened him along with some health problems. But it was a heart attack that killed him.
Also roger miller had throat cancer as well and jim croce was folk not country
Forgot Chris Gains too. Then Garth Brooks career 😂
Keith Whitley would be one of the top 10 greatest country singers of all time had he not died so young.
Top 1
@@matheo1231 I didn't wanna sound too greedy but I definitely agree with you. He was an amazing singer and song writer.
How about Don Rich, motorcycle accident.
What's the point of the countdown/ranking? They should've been done in sequential order by birth year or death year.
They were. Death year
Where is Conway Twitty?
Number 57
You forgot about Gentry huge one. And Elvis wasn't a county singer.
You forgot Hank Thompson and the head singer of Alabama
Lead singer of Alabama is Randy Owen, and I’m happy to report he’s still around.
Well someone died from Alabama
@@braydenwaugh3817 Jeff Cook died.
FYI, Myocardial Infarction and Heart Attack are the same thing. Not trying to be a jerk though
Hal Ketchum
A lot of Cigarette related deaths....
At that time 🚬 was pretty common. It's not good for your voice either.
