You are an inspiration! You work hard and you are disciplined, you know the drill =) In the first video, I was amazed to see your balance and control (i'm wobbly and know how hard it is). I'm tour-piqueing to restart training and reverencing to you in respect =)

I take class 5-6 days a week for ballet (basically as much as I can possibly do without collapsing from exhaustion). I also figure skate for about 2 hours a day, 6 days a week. I was already figure skating for 2 years before I started ballet, so that gave me a bit of a "head start" in some of the strength-building department since skating and ballet overlap a tiny bit. Basically, the fitter you are when you start ballet (whether you're fit from figure skating, soccer, or whatever) and the more ballet classes you take per week, the faster you will improve.
I basically run a 12 hour shift almost every day. --> ((8 hours of working my office desk job, 2 hours of skating, 2 hours of ballet, plus the stretching I do to improve my flexibility.))
      Just gonna copy&paste this summary:
I started figure skating at age 26 and ballet at age 27. I spent my entire life until age 23 being obese and lazy. I went vegan at age 23, dropped 80lbs in one year and kept it off ((vegan diet alone, no exercise)). I didn't start doing any kind of exercise until age 26 when I found figure skating, something I actually enjoy. I hate zumba and all of the other "normal" stuff that most adults do. I've now been unprocessed, whole foods vegan for 7 years. See my other videos if you want to see my figure skating progress. Figure skating is my first love, so I spend even more time on that than ballet.

Keep strong. Dont forget that despite the evil in this world, God is full of justice, mercy and love.
Justice said we broke His perfect law - causing the world's previous perfection to be destroyed - and therefore we deserve Hell (like a punishment in any legal system but this is eternal as His perfect law is eternal too). Don't think you fit in that category? Ever done one of these?: lying, stealing - regardless of how small the object EVER, hating others - which is murder in God's perfect law, lusting (plus God sees our entire thought life). Justice says "the soul that sins shall die" - if we break one in thought/word/deed it's as if we're guilty of all of them. Quite simply, living by the law (which is doing everything perfectly) is impossible for sinful humans
. The law shows us that 1. We will die in Hell if we fail to follow it and 2. We cannot save ourselves BUT, 3. God's perfect, immovable law points us to Christ, who followed and fulfilled the law in thought, word and deed perfectly in our place. He did what we couldn't and did it on our behalf. He was then sentenced to death on a cross, and took our personal punishment for our sin, paying our penalty (like paying our fine) completely FOR us, and has given us freedom.
If we turn from the sins we have committed and repent (pursue the opposite direction of love through Christ) He will, overtime, recreate us into His image through The Holy Spirit which Jesus sends to all who accept Him as their personal Lord and Savior of their life. We cannot purify ourselves, but Christ lived that perfect sinless, pure life and then allotted it to our "account".
That's where our righteousness comes from. Not from any good, works that you or I could do.
It is not based on the amount of good works we do. God starts the changes, He carries it on, and He completes it in those who let Him.
It's about letting Christ in to guide and teach you and obeying Him, again, through His power and instruction).
He is our substitute in His life, death and resurrection. He essentially rewrote history in our place so that, if you believe in Him, it will be as if YOU had never sinned if you accept Christ's death as our own in our place.
He is in Heaven right now preparing a place for us so that He can take His faithful, believing children home with Him when He returns. He will ressurrect us from death when He returns, giving mercy to those who accept His love, forgiveness, instruction and teachings in their life, and give justice to those who refuse it.
He doesn't want ANY of us to go to Hell and die for continuing in evil and rejecting His way to life, thats why He died FOR us. Hes giving EVERYONE a chance, He wants everyone to take the free gift of salvation from Hell. He wants us to be His and begin to follow His life of love and service through His power and abiding (staying) with Him. So long as we keep our hearts near to Christ through His strength, strive to follow His will of perfect love revealed in the Bible, and let Him lead in the midst of (very certain) pitfalls and struggles, we will, in time, win the ultimate victory over sin, pain and DEATH through Christ. Even if you are willing to be made willing, pray for Jesus to come in and He will do what we can't. Give us The Holy Spirit who will guide us in the right way.
NOTE: You are NEVER too sinful or messed up that God cannot turn your life around through Jesus. EVER
If you have any questions let me know x

Thank you!! And the speed of progress really, really depends how many classes you take a week, how serious and diligent you are about applying every single correction the teacher gives, and what kind of strength/athletic ability you already had coming into ballet. For example, people who spend their entire childhood doing athletics of some type, usually improve faster than someone who didn't do anything. I'd say most people get their first pointe shoes in the range of 2-5 years on average, depending on all those factors I mentioned above and how old they are. And even when you get the shoes, it is NOT easy. You'll spend many more years doing a million relevees in them on the barre to build up enough strength to do all of the incredible stuff you see professionals doing on a stage.
I was already figure skating for 2 years before I started ballet, so I got some strength and skills "for free" because of skating. I've taken 5-6 ballet classes a week since the very beginning (in addition to all of my skating stuff), and the occasional private lesson where I ask a million questions to try to cram as much technique details into my brain as possible.

@@GoddessArwen17 do your pointe shoes hurt? I have some and tried them on with padding and they hurt! They're Capezios, not like some cheap pair from China. Why do they hurt my toes so much? Cut my toenails, maybe? Any advice? And awesome job, by the way 🤗

    • @GoddessArwen17
      @GoddessArwen17  3 роки тому

@@jdrfqueen They definitely have to be fit properly. Did you get fitted by a professional at a pointe shoe store? Pointe shoes are really hard to get right because every foot is so unique. It also helps to try out about a bunch of different padding options, even after you've got a correct fit by a professional. I had to figure out shoes and padding that worked for me because my big toe is longer than my other toes, which means all of my pain is on my big toe (if the fit isn't correct). It's never like wearing house slippers. It does take effort to stay up properly, but it should not be agony. Serious pain means improper fit, improper padding, or improper technique.
