I’m sorry, are you a fan of roots reggae? Spear is not a singer... he doesn’t do music, he’s a chanter, a storyteller, if you see him live you’ll be blown away. Listen to the message, not the song. Listen to foggy road, Jordan river, Jah no dead and then drink some herb tea and listen to Slavery Days. It’s a different type of music. Only for the connoisseur.

The intro gives a nice and steady, warm reggae groove I love it! Nice and smooth very excellent! The alto sax solo in the intro just adds the warm steady smooth groove to the jam, man I love this! The jam just gets better and better as the performance continues this is fucking amazing! Great vibes such a happy day!

yup Spear had mystery & he maintained it throughout - and the musical vibe is tough as any in reggae, some nasty minors are created, or implied the FOH mix guy for Spear was always great, very noticeable dub moves going on here - and again a funky bass guitar, a Hofner Beatle bass in late 80s when twice we saw him - and this cat has a Baldwin upside down!
Keep the spear burning! Outstanding gig of an outstanding artist with a band performing like a mighty machine. Reggae in its best phase. Never reached by contemporary artists.
