Conan at the Apollo?! Standing on the armrests of the chairs... Hyatt? Rides the motherfucking elevator and its hilarious!!
Rory is one of my favorite comedians (since like 5 years ago), and I really wish he had more specials. The only hour sets I know of are his Dilation CD and the Netflix special. I've literally watched every single clip of him on youtube (and other appearances, like on @midnight and Eric Andre Show), and I'm out of Rory clips. Luckily I can still listen to Dilation (or rewatch his short sets on Conan, for instance) on a regular basis and crack the fuck up every time at least. Hopefully his new sitcom gets him way more exposure. Also, hopefully somehow stand up comedy can make a comeback in the not too distant future (need to pack the clubs for it to work).

BTW, Rory's hour special Dilation (audio only) is on youtube, and it only has around 30k views as of this post for some reason, even though it's been on youtube for 5 years. If you like Rory, you absolutely need to check it out. It's fucking hilarious.
There is a bit were Mr. Scovel has a piano player accentuating his routine with music. I mean, damn, comedy genius. He is like a modern Kaufman, but funnier (note, don't want to get into an internet scuffle, but if you think Kaufman is funnier state your case). Sorry folks, had to get that disclaimer out, oh and yeah, check out his crowd work videos. Sidenote: Kaufman was the BEST at holding on to a bit. I watched a wrestler slap the shit out of Kaufman on Letterman, it wasn't until I was 50 years old (this year) that I find out it was staged.
I agree as I was also thinking that there is something Kaufmanesque about Rory Scovel, and it's true that he is funnier more often than Kaufman. That being said, Kaufman could be very hilarious at times, but Kaufman wasn't always going for laughs. He was more of a performance artist along with being a comedian, as he said, "a song and dance man," and more of a provocateur at times. Both are great in their own ways. Not saying you don't already know this, just thinking aloud.
?? Tom was the one who introduced the mistaken idea that Fleming wrote the movies, then Rory followed suit. Both probably know that Ian Fleming wrote the books the movies are based on; don't think either of them knows that Fleming didn't write the movies. (Weird, cuz these hosts & guest must have friends in the industry.)
This man should play George Carlin in a biopic. Huge physical resemblance and I think as an actor he could pull it off because his comedy has some Carlin mannerisms in it.

Especially the latter. That was actually Fucking amazing. So amazing that i had to write 'fucking' with a capital F, midsentence, and i'm not even ashamed of it. 🤧😪😷🤢
Laziness is a major talent You can tell an athlete from a nonathlete. One gets up early and writes constantly while one is naturally hilarious and comfortable in front of people. The lady looks like that kid dabbing while those guys were fighting.

Don't @ me, I know that being a Roaring Beast is Rory's shtick, I'm just not impressed by any man yelling and beating his chest.
Have you checked out his podcast with Daniel van Kirk? Both Rory and Daniel are pretty much the most likeable guys ever (and funny, obviously funny). Love them both.
