We hold on to an individual or to a group of people with whom we identify and who accepts us. To grab this symbolic or realistic feeling is essential to understand the discourse of bi-cultural individuals, and the image that the society has of them. Through the testimony of bi-cultural individuals, this film confronts us to the reality of a life between two cultures.
On se raccroche à l’individu ou au groupe auquel on s’identifie et qui nous accepte. Saisir ce sentiment d’appartenance symbolique ou réelle est primordial pour comprendre le discours identitaire des métis et l’image que la société se fait d’eux. A travers les témoignages de métis, ce film nous confronte à la réalité d’une vie entre deux cultures.
Wir binden uns an die Person oder die Gruppe, mit der wir uns identifizieren können und die uns akzeptiert. Dieses symbolische oder reale Zugehörigkeitsgefühl zu erfassen ist unerlässlich, um die Identität der Mestizen und das Bild, das die Gesellschaft von ihnen hat, verstehen zu können.
