Some of the chords are labeled wrong...

Do do a vid on chord inversions and their notations, I don't recognise some shown here.
Yes I will do at some point.

If you wanted to show the actual "best" chord progressions in Classical Music, you would have included Rachmaninoff, the Pathetique, the Appassionata, etc. Not just the popular ones that everybody knows. By only including popular pieces, the quality of the harmonies are much lower. There are multiple progressions shown in your video that use only a few (in some cases only 2) chords. I see that you included multiple pieces by Grieg, so I recommend checking his piano concerto.
Thanks for the comment. I was limited by available copyright free recordings that I could use when I made the video. But I appreciate the suggestions and will consider them if I make a follow up.
Holy crap! Much harder than pop. You must’ve studied music in school!
the info is great, the pronounciation is crazy lol Shimnowpeidy by Saty lol
Great job !
This is excellent, thank you thousands ! I love to see and understand chords progression with degrees and chords letters !
You're very welcome!
Excellent, this goes starlight into my music theory playlist
Thanks!
Although the movie, "The Lone Ranger" with Johnny Depp wasn't quite as good as one would hope, the orchestration of the climax of, "The William Tell Overture", brought out goosebumps.
Brother, thank you. This is the second video I'm watching. I've always liked classical music. Absolutely beautiful the more I learn how music is made the more I appreciate its beauty and the sheer amazing gifting it took to initially create works like this first one played.. looking forward to the rest of the video. Thanks again.
You're welcome, glad you enjoyed it!
why do you sometimes write the mode abbreviated under the chord?
That indicates a borrowed chord and the parallel mode it has been borrowed from.
Cool video! Bridges the gap between the classical and modern! Educational, informative, and entertaining! 😊 🎉 ❤
Thanks, I'm glad you enjoyed it!
high quality video, you're very focused on what information people need to hear. Thank you for your insight.
Glad you enjoyed it!
ahh #4 is "Captain Jack - Dream A Dream" .... thanks DDR lol
also, thanks for introducing me to "Gymnopedie No.1", it's a lovely sounding piece.
You're welcome!
Lol I just listened to Captain Jack. It's amazing how many songs use "In The Hall Of The Mountain King"!
Great video mate I really enjoyed it.
Did feel at times like it was narrated by a ghost how you popped up in various scenes
Thanks! Yeah I had a lot of problems with the recording so had to edit it like that to get the video made!
Beethoven got bangers - A+ madeca great hip hop track with that - think it sampled the track you mentioned
I loved this video, so many beautiful works! I was looking for some progressions in classical music to study and maybe incorporate in my own writing practice.

Great video thank you!!
Glad you liked it!
What's with the "swishing" noise over the Bach cello prelude?
It was on the copyright free version I used for some reason, I'm not sure why!
Thanks for your information👌🏻
You're welcome!
what app is this it loosk like its the same thing as hook theory, and it shows the modes lol which now i understand composers of this era did not really think like this.
Yes it's Hookpad. You're correct about the modes, this is just a simple introduction for people who otherwise might overlook classical music.
I Like your Videos and i have an friendly advice for you. You Ducking the Sound under your voice and everything is fine, gut the Release should be much longer i think. 150ms should be a good start
Thanks for the tip, I had a lot of problems with sound in this video. It will be improved in future videos, with a longer release!
Wow thx much
Didn't many classical composers start out by working out the chord progression of other composers? I seem to remember reading or hearing that Mozart could do this when he was a child. Is this true?
I know that Mozart was a child prodigy, so I imagine this is something he would have done instinctively.
Russian anthem is Canon in C
7:31 Für Elise also shows up as part of Charlie Burton's song "You're Not Playing Fair, Elise".
9:13 It is literally impossible to misspell Tchaikovsky's name.
11:47 "D Minor, the saddest of all keys."
12:42 Sadly, this urban legend is not true.
13:51 And Victor Borge (comedian/musician) once played it with the sheet music upside down. ua-cam.com/video/jPwNwNdE7pE/v-deo.html

Man, what a great progression. Classical music is so sophisticated.😂
😂
La Folia is not included!
😭
My apologies!
Did you use hook theory?
Yes I did.
Very useful thanks!
You're welcome!
Merci
You're welcome
I like how Erik Satie's Gymnopedie sounds like something you would hear in Minecraft 😄
Who's gonna tell him😂
It's the most modern sounding to me - to be fair it's only about hundred years old
Ode to Joy should have been No 1. Period.
I chuckled at your opening remarks that you would need a music theory degree to understand "Classical Music". I just learned about the Rule of the Octave last month and have gone down the Partimenti rabbit hole. Using my limited knowledge of this I tried to play Prélude in C (again) and found it much easier, and even transposed it instantly into another key. I watched a college professor discuss Bach and he just said that there were things with Bach that couldn't be explained. But a Partimento scholar said that using Roman Numeral Analysis was almost a useless endeavor to understanding what they were doing, and this well into the 19th century. Maybe you should ask Hookpad about that?
So, how to figure out which scale is used for the chord progressions 🤔
I forgot to include this information, sorry about that.
