Hey, he chose a song that wasn't currently trending. This is a business, and if he's too stupid to follow pop culture trends, then he wouldn't have made it in the industry even with the help of these judges. They'd be wasting their time and (more importantly) their money.

A boy in his age with musical talent and a passion for grunge is playing a 100% in a band for years. Well, i am rly sorry for him - i am nearly 30 y old and love grunge - that grunge music, same like hard dirty punk and other rly hard and noisy (good noises for me) genre is still a genre heard by fans of art and music - but not of the mainstream people. So its rly hard to make ur band fame and nearly impossible to live from this music. Every country has uncountable good underground bands, a lot of em good enough for big stages, but they never get a chance. Even if u ask a fan of hard music, how many punk bands out of his own country does he know? 5? 10? Maybe 20 and more if he is a fan of the genre? And meanwhile re maybe 200 other punk bands in his country, know one heard of, playing gig in bars in front of 20 people for the last 20 years like maniacs and will never be able to make their passion and art rentable. They all just can make music as hobby, eating time and money, playing live gigs in bars for maybe 200 € while the travel costs with all the equipment etc is about 400€ and they just do this cuz they WANT to perform for audience, even if they pay for it. Sad, but normal for 90% of all bands.

Singt richtig gut der Typ!Mir kommts vor als würden diese Leute die in casting shows gute musik spielen nie genommen! Und dem seine Stimme hatte auch noch Wiedererkennungswert! Aber die juri legt leider nur auf perfektion wert! Immer muss alles perfekt sein! Ich finde dass ist einfach so unfair weil selbst keiner von denen perfekt singt. Wenn mal einer wirklich außergewöhnlich singt und nirvana covert anstatt eines 0815 popsongs wird nicht gedrückt! Das macht mich echt wütend! Die Frage ist ob sie Kurt selbst bei so einer Casting überhaupt nehmen würden oder ob sein Talent unentdeckt bliebe, weil er nicht perfekt ist aber halt seinen eigenen stil hat!!
