I listen to your music to relax, think, study, work, read, write. Your songs inspire me to compose songs too, I just have to thank you for your channel
Hey thanks a lot! Yes the looper is synced to the Digitakt with MIDI clock and it works like a charm, definitely the best MIDI-syncable looper I tried. 🙂 (I haven't tried them all tho)
Hey! As always, a very cool track =) Unfortunately, I still continue to fight with my Ditto, and I wanted to know in which DAW you worked with him. I work at FL Studio, and strange things happen to me. I see that the looper is synchronized with the FL, I write the midi CC exactly in time, but after recording the track, it gradually shifts from the tempo. I don’t understand why this is happening, it seems that the recording starts a little later. Did you have such problems? Instead of creativity, I have to dig into such things, hands down ((
Hey, I never used the Ditto in sync with my DAW but I had the exact same issue when I had it synced to my Digitakt. Unfortunately it seems to be related to how the Ditto works and I never found a reliable solution. 😕 My thinking is that the Ditto doesn't account for MIDI jitter. Basically a MIDI clock is always drifting around a tiny bit for various reasons and that can't be controlled, that's what "jitter" refers to. With the length of the audio loop being completely fixed, it will inevitably start to drift after a while. I might be wrong, but I tried a lot of different ideas for over a year and could never get consistent results. This was happening during all the jams you can see on this channel, aha. Anywayyy, sorry I couldn't help more!
The Aeros is absolutely great at staying in sync! I encountered a few weird behaviours (like twice in months and months of usage) but the sync itself is rock solid, my loops never drift. ✨
@@Aldoistaken I think I made it work somehow. If you record the first track of the required length, but empty, then the subsequent ones seem to be recorded as needed, provided that the trigger in the sequencer is set a little earlier than exactly in time. After so much time, I can start music))
@@Aldoistaken I couldn't decide on a looper, the ditto seems to have problems and was recalled? So I was torn between the looper you used here and the boss rc500. I didn't want something complex but I needed the midi sync. I went with the boss but the midi sync uses 3.5 trs : ( they have their own cable but its sold separately and has a stupid right angle. Just a heads up if you were gonna try that one
@@exnexe Oh that's good to know thanks! You can probably find a third-party cable quite easily, you just have to pick the right "type" as those MIDI/TRS adapter come in two different types, A and B. 🙂
What kind of looper do you use? I'm assuming it tracks multiple layers. Also do you run everything into a pa? Hoping you don't mind giving away your secrets. I'm just a fellow musician struggling to start my own one man band. Either way, thanks! 😊 another fire jam per usual 🔥
Hey, I use the Singular Sound Aeros Loop Studio (bottom right in the video), and yeah you can have up to 6 layers that you can mute independently, plus you can overdub as many time as you like on any of the layers. 🙂 And you can have 6 parts (verse, chorus, bridge, etc.) each containing 6 completely different layers. Pretty insaneee. I don't use speakers at all, everything go into my laptop and I listen to the resulting mix with my headphones. Hope that helps!
Hey, yeah most of the sound shaping part happens in the box (mostly with EQ, comp and tape saturation). I do use a preamp rack though, but it's old and cheap, I use it for the built-in gate and compressor, it doesn't change the sound all that much. 🙂
@@boimesa8190 Nope! No IR or cab sim whatsoever, most of the "magic" comes from the Waves Kramer Master Tape plug-ins, it work really well on guitars. 🙂
I have a pretty heavy compressor in my chain yeah, the ratio is usually around 10:1, with the attack and release set to something pretty slow. Hope that helps!
Yeah it's a bit discouraging at times but oh well. I do upload shorter clips on Instagram, I tried Tik Tok too but dang, that app is hurting my brain real bad, aha. Thanks for the concern anyway!

how do you know the timing of the initial loop? are you using speakered metronome? or headphones?
Metronome in headphones, yep. 🙂
Awesome job on this one! What do you use as the master midi clock? Keystep37? Digitakt? Computer?
Hey thanks, I use the Digitakt as the main clock, it's the case in 99% of my videos. 🙂

Hey! Fantastic song! Wanted to ask of u uave synced the looper to the elektron or keystep and of u recommend this one

The synths you play... are those samples on the digitakt? Just got mine today and I‘m pretty happy so far. Lots of stuff to learn tho...
Love the jam btw.
Hey thanks, actually in this jam I use the Octatrack for the synth sounds. 🙂Congrats on getting the DT, hope you're having funnn

I was also wondering, do you use a trs 3.5 to midi? I can't this cable with the right pin wiring without a right angle
Hey, I only use the standard dongles I got delivered with the devices (mainly the ZOIA and the 0-Coast).
