Giving powerful weapons to marines have been a "trick" in all Halo games for as long as I can remember. In Halo 3 I used to give marines Spartan lasers and Rocket launchers and they just kicked ass with those. It makes replaying certain chapters more enjoyable when they play out differently.
@@Drakey_Fenix Also as I said in the video it has a tiny ammo reserve if you use it as the player - about 1/4 of the standard Sentinel Beam's reserve or something. So it's balanced for the player, it's just that the NPCs all have unlimited ammo so by giving THEM the weapon, you will literally remove this limitation and any balance lol
