Fragments was, until the fight started, outright hilarious. I mean Jasper acted often like an anime character. Especially the training looked like straight from Dragonball. I think that steven realised that greg is even more like rose. They both ran away from the people who loved them. steven failed to see how miserable Greg's former life was and thus by deleting that picture, he's removing that connection between him and his dad.

These two episodes were very interesting, but unfortunately makes me more and more worried about Steven. I really do appreciate the Insight that we get with Greg. While I do understand the concerns Steven had, I believe he is actually forgetting something; if Greg never got into his van and left, he never would have met Rose, and he probably never would have been born. He never would have turned out to be Steven Universe. And I can understand where Greg is coming from. For a good portion of my life, my parents dictated what I should do as well. But, after talking to them, they were able to let me make my own decisions, and they helped me along the way. They kept me from doing things that were too dangerous or too stupid, and watched over me during the things that for the best for me. They gave suggestions, but they gave me the choice whether or not to use them. I honestly cannot think my parents enough for what they've done for me. And I hope Steven realizes this as well. As for Fragments, okay, I am a sucker for anything involving Jasper. I have to admit that the slightly aged up Steven was definitely a nice little touch. For some reason it reminded me of an anime, and I'm sure I'm not the only person who thought of that. I honestly could not believe he has the raw power to shatter gems; I mean, yeah he's a diamond, but Steven and his philosophy never really entailed on that. The last four episodes are going to be a doozy
From my own experience, when I was at my lowest points in life I did not see my parents having me as a good thing. It could be that he hates being himself, the hates the fact that he was born instead of some normal kid.
@Keoh 8 He had a nice house anyway. When I saw the expression on his face in the picture on the wall, it looked like fear to me. He had to hide a CD. His friend snuck it to him. No music allowed. He was so used to sneaking out the window, he forgot he could just walk out the front door. He tried to communicate via mail, but they never opened the letters. This implies something very wrong in that pretty little house. They looked like a good family from the outside, but Greg did not experience it that way.
He's 16 and has never met his grandparents, didn't even know they were still alive. I don't know what to think about that. At the end, Greg was trying to smooth everything over, but not really listening to Steven at all. It's like his resentment for his parents cut him off from his own son. ReginaFera is right, this is really sad. I hope they don't leave this relationship here, but with only four episodes left, and so much else to deal with, will they come back to it?
In fragments, he gets his swirly hair from pink diamond when he slowly develops the ability to control his diamond powers. Also steven used all the diamond healing water. So if anything happens, they cant do anything. It also looks like he'll go to the diamonds next episode, he also has diamond pupils 😳❤️

This makes him worry that no one can ever help him (or something like that) and starts having another outburst. hJ4’sTwisted May be a good time for that white/pink/jasper looking fusion (?) to come up. I was thinking Jasper tells the Diamonds he shattered her, making white all pissed and empathetic because Jasper was Pink’s most loyal soldier and she’d find it really ironic that Steven would do that, so she probs fuses with Jasper? This may result in this fusion corrupting Steven as a punishment like you said by either her shooting out a corruption beam or all the Diamonds shooting their power like they did before.

If anyone remembers, during the second season when the gems were trying to find Lapis and Steven learned about his dream powers, Steven was dreaming of a life where the gems were human. (Right until Lapis interrupted the dream) Where he had a normal family. He was even gonna go to prom with Connie, which I assume in his imagination that meant he went to school with Connie. I know it's kind of late to point this out, but I've always speculated that Steven might want to just live a normal life with no gem stuff, no mommy issues, no Little Homeschool, no Diamond Authority, nada. He just wants to be a normal boy with a normal life.
Did you notice in season one, Open Book, how Steven loved how the character in the story gave up his powers to become human and be with the one he loved? I was really hoping that was foreshadowing about he and Connie, but I'm losing hope now.
What I want in the finale: IF Steven is corrupted, his mind will travel to his gem and he sees Rose. Steven tells Rose about all the horrible things she did. Rose then tells Steven that she wasn’t thinking enough and that she’s sorry. Steven’s mind then travels back to reality and he gets uncorrupted. (And just saying, I still like Rose/ Pink Diamond)
While I also side with the Steven meeting his mom thing. I imagine there'd be far more things to do than just THAT. I imagine he'll have to go find his inner strength again just like Samurai Jack did in The Aku Infection

I HAVE A THEORY!!!! The crack that pink's first pearl was derived from psychological scarring, right? Well maybe she was actually shattered by pink diamond in a fit of rage but since they were close pink revived her gem. When Jasper was revived after being shattered her exterior pattern changed! Like Pink pearl! Pink pearl didn't get hurt she was shattered by pink!!!!!!!
When the first time I saw the episode and saw Steven shattered Jasper and he said I was holding back, I was thinking. Does Steven have 2 personality? Because his eyes were the diamond eyes.
@@marshalllee6376 he was a part of steven but that changed after white removed his gem and pink steven saw his human counterpart, at that moment they realised each other's existence. Steven no longer was an independant being. even rebecca sugar confirmed that
Maybe in the episode i am my monster , steven gets mad at the gems , he starts corrupting , the gems call greg and connie to fix it but failed , steven tells how he shattered jasper , steven runs away to homeworld , he goes to the white diamond , steven gets annoyed by white diamond , he turns full monster , he destroys homeworld , he controls white diamond , they go back to earth , burning little homeworld to the ground , white diamond is able to snap out of it , blue and yellow diamond goes to earth , they fight corrupted steven as the final battle , connie is able to turn steven back to normal , the end
I swear I was actually crying when he shattered jasper I was like she might be bad but ur still important but yeah like I was crying when he shattered him through out the little trailer at the end I don’t know if u saw it
I still can't believe Steven murdered someone. If I'm being honest, I'm kinda started to lose respect for him. Steven decides to act like he knows exactly what Greg's childhood was like, then legit crashes his van. He could've killed Greg and completely broken his van, and he doesn't even apologize. Then when the gems get kinda mad at Steven for literally almost killing his dad, and himself, he pretty much says "screw you guys, I'm not apologizing." Then he comes to Jasper for some reason? I guess cause the gems wouldn't look for him there? Forgetting that tho, he killed someone. He literally killed someone. Sure, he brought them back to life, but he still killed someone.
YES EXACTLY HE BROKE DOWN IN THE CAR BUT HE STILL DID THOSE ACTIONS AND NEEDS TO APOLOGIZE TO GREG Greg gave up EVERYTHING for his son, and this is what he gets?! Steven you lived in a van because your dad was building your house!!
I think the lack of flashback in this episode might have to do with a lot a disconnect from Greg and Steven. Greg doesn't want to reconnect with his old life by telling the story with his guitar like he did before. And Steven can't connect with the Universe name origin because it's about running away from what Steven thinks is a normal human life.
These really shook me, especially with Fragments, Steven shattered Jasper and went insane when he fight her especially when you see the pink diamonds in his eyes, so he's becoming like his mum Pink way before she met our Pearl and saw the Earth for what it was. The beginning of the end of Future and Steven will corrupt. Great video Finny ^^
Unrelated comment, but I thought it was really funny when jasper reformed after being shattered and then she bowed, like dying was some sort of honor that Steven had finally bestowed upon her XD
Personally I think the finale is going to have Jasper fuse with Steven because of them not having anyone and her saying she will never leave him IF THEY FUSE. So they fuse and become the monster in the intro. The GEMS go to Homeworld to get help from the Diamonds and they have a massive battle to save Steven. He unfuses and decides he is done with Gem issues and decides to leave his gem life and human life separate and UNFUSES HIS GEM. They wrap it all up with him leaving Beach city and starting a new life, like his father was suggesting for him (possibly with school and Connie?)
10:11 = Well, as fine as one can be coming from the brink of shattering. But in all seriousness, I understand your reactions, these episodes were emotionally rough.
While Steven lambasts him for this, Greg's reasoning for how he raised Steven is sort of valid given the unique circumstances. He knew that Steven would develop Gem-related powers at some point so keeping him close to the Gems was necessary. Additionally, if some speculation regarding how the letters Greg sent to his parents were never answered are right, it meant he could not rely on his family for support. Taking Steven to a doctor would open a Pandora's box of problems, especially since Greg would know Gemkind don't communicate much with humans and who's to say the doctors would be trustworthy with something like a human/alien child? As for school, it would open up similar questions regarding a school nurse, the administration and heaven knows what else. Plus, Steven did have various aspects of normalcy such as birthdays and hanging out with some peers. While certainly more structure could've been added, it would've just made the upcoming changes for when Homeworld made contact more drastic and disruptive of Steven's life.
Huh. Good point. They never opened the letters, but they kept them. I wonder if they even know about Steven? Has Greg had any contact with them since he left? He knew they still lived in the house, and when they would be at their timeshare. It's a really strained and odd relationship.
@@Xubuntu47 It seems that the tragedy of Greg and Steven's argument isn't that one of them is truly right over the other, but rather that they fail to fully understand and empathize with the different struggles each of them endured.
Mr. Universe is great because it illustrates there are multiple ways to be traumatized. Steven’s is obvious but a lot of people dismiss how long term emotion neglect and repression can also be damaging. One is not worse then the other because it is not a competition. Trauma is trauma.
If you pay attention to Steven's pupils in Fragments, when he says he's no longer holding back, they are diamond instead of the normal round. Not sure if anyone else noticed that but wanted to point that out.
It seems like Greg grow up with a very conservative family, but was not happy with the life he was given, so he ran off to explore his own dreams of becoming someone more than just a kid who does whatever his parents tell him. Steven was upset by the fact that he didn't think Greg's parents were that bad, and that he wanted a normal human life, and got extremely pissed when Greg said "You had more freedom than I had"
Mr.Universe: Um...Steven? Are you ok dude? I'm worried about you....😥 Fragments: OMG! OMG! OMG! OMG! DID THAT JUST SERIOUSLY HAPPEN!?!?!??!? I have a theory that I've been thinking about dealing with the angry white diamond and corrupted steven we see in the opening. So, we know that blue diamond is able to affect the emotions of other gems, so what if steven is able to do the same thing? What if his anger ends up affecting white diamond so much that she looses control? Hence why we see her angry in the intro? And corrupted steven is pretty obvious at this point, he's gonna go so far that he won't be able to control his emotions and start corrupting.
It's fascinating how you were so right with the episode, but so off by the result. Granted, it was surprising. But I do like how mundane that road trip episode was. And technically, we didn't see if he actually clicked "DELETE", or chose to keep it. from the angle, it looked like he didn't click the delete button. So fan theory mode, I don't think he clicked delete, I think he clicked cancel. I'm actually disappointed that we didn't get a Jasper/Steven fusion. What would that be like? I'm mean, Jasper isn't one of my favorite characters, but I do like her development in these episodes. Yeah, Steven could've killed Jasper. But he had demonstrated his Diamond authority, earning Jaster's respect. I think it's disappointing that Jasper's allegiance with Steven didn't have the chance to go farther than it had.
For some clarification on the ending of Mr. Universe, Steven deleted the photo of Greg and spaced out while Greg was trying to talk to him because Steven feels like he cant come to his dad anymore about his problems. So you were kinda close.
I have another theory for the Worm Steven. What if the Worm Monster Steven IS Steven BUT it's his gem half that gets corrupted? Bear with me here on this one. Steven goes to the Diamonds and talks about Pink, they reveal about Pink of what we already know but added stuff to make her worse, Steven goes through another PTSD episode, he fires a beam at White to make her go emotional and starts telling Steven off about him and Pink and everything. This makes Steven go through a heavy break down, so much so Steven does the one thing that White Diamond did to him long ago. Steven in his blind anger and rage and confusion, blames his gem half, blames his mother, that HE RIPS HIS OWN GEM OUT!!! The emotional burst on White breaks free, Steven is on the floor gasping as we see Steven's gem going haywire. All the negative emotions and stress affects Steven's gem half and it becomes corrupted, turning into the worm monster and runs away. Steven's human half is still weak and tired like last time when this happened, the Diamonds call for the Crystal Gems and Steven's friends and family to help him get his gem half back and reunite the two halfs for Steven to become one again.
I religiously ate Cheeto puffs while watching fragments also theory when jasper was reformed she said my diamond maybe she was reset think the personality of a gem is in a gem if it shatters it could have leaked out so it’s like she popped out of the kindergarten

Well maybe she was actually shattered by pink diamond in a fit of rage but since they were close pink revived her gem. When Jasper was revived after being shattered her exterior pattern changed! Like Pink pearl! Pink pearl didn't get hurt she was shattered by pink!!!!!!!
Well Pink Pearl said that it was her scream, Rebeca Sugar comfirmed that this is psyhological PTSD
Besides to revive the gem Steven needed all four diamond essenses.
But that Reef said everything was fine with her gem. I am pretty sure Reef would pick up in the fact that Pink Pearl was shattered and then fixed.
Strelets Gleb That still count as "fine" if they've been fixed
When the first time I saw the episode and saw Steven shattered Jasper and he said I was holding back, I was thinking. Does Steven have 2 personality? Because his eyes were the diamond eyes.
He does actually. Remember that pink steven in change my mind
@@Orto-jj2di the episode is called 'Change your mind' and not 'Change my mind'
@@BoberTee well it depends on who you ask that question and when.
back then on the diamonds. But now... it's Steven's turn to change his own mind
Otari Muradishvili pink Steven doesn’t have a personality
@@marshalllee6376 he was a part of steven but that changed after white removed his gem and pink steven saw his human counterpart, at that moment they realised each other's existence. Steven no longer was an independant being. even rebecca sugar confirmed that
the cheeto got puffed
Oh god.....
YOURE GONNA POOF HER YOURE GONNA CRACK HER!
Me: Oh, you will see.
"My problem isn't that I'm a gem, my problem is that I'm a Universe!"
Wow, that hurt.
That yoda impression killed me 🤣
YES early
You predicted these well actually
Like REALY well
I screamed when I saw her shards and I am still crying as of now.
Hey its alright he fixed her and apologized for it but reaction to being shattered caught me off guard
Me when seeing him about to watch fragments: Nooooo! Stop! This episode is heavy!
I love how jasper said “ U THINK I CANT TAKE IT” and a minute later she got MERKED
"Huh, looks like you've lost it all the way. You've crossed the valley of tears and come out the other side but a shadow."
I swear I was actually crying when he shattered jasper I was like she might be bad but ur still important but yeah like I was crying when he shattered him through out the little trailer at the end I don’t know if u saw it
“Ok, so this was “Fragments” “ - the intonation of your voice was perfect.
YES EXACTLY
HE BROKE DOWN IN THE CAR BUT HE STILL DID THOSE ACTIONS AND NEEDS TO APOLOGIZE TO GREG
Greg gave up EVERYTHING for his son, and this is what he gets?! Steven you lived in a van because your dad was building your house!!
Yo I was really scared when I thought Jasper was gone for good
Me: Ooooh! New Finn reaction! This is gonna be great!
*Clicks*
*Cue the Finny sounds of protest*
..
Oh dear it's THESE episodes...o.o
Mr. Universe: Steven doesn’t have a good relationship with his dad
Fragments: Steven now has a murder count
Conclusion...
Steven needs therapy
when steven is fighting jasper i think of the "handsome steven" from steven and the stevens
Steven just threw the diamond healing essence bottle in the water, THE WHOLE THING sooo if steven gets corrupted....
STEVEN USED ALL THE DIAMOND ELIXER AND MAYB FORESHADOWING
I was thinking about your prediction the whole episode
Mr. Universe: Oh no...
Fragments: *OHHHH NOOOOO!*
9:50 steven has 2 personality
(Pink Steven's diamond eyes)
Otari Muradishvili It not anoyher personality it just his power coming out
@@breadwinner80 His power has it's consciousness. That's why majority of SU fans is calling him Stephen
Not really... The way Steven acts when using his power is the same as when he start to get upset, bit before the power activates.
@@breadwinner80 yeah but he doesnt smile while doing it
Otari Muradishvili tha way Steven getting carried away.
Me when he says he might poof Jasper at the beginning
Me: Ahaha or maybe he might shatter her, *maybe*
*maybe*
After watching these two episodes there are only three things I want to see now:
1. Peridot and Lapis fusion
2. Wormy Boi
3. Spinel
1. Unfortunately not.
2. Well yes but actually no.
3. Thank god.
Also steven used all the diamond oil when healing jasper so when he gets corrupted they cant just use it to fix him up.
Great video Finny ^^
you're a sapphire lol
(Reads the title of this video)
Jasper YYEEEESSSSS!
Jasper forgot he was training a very powerful diamond
At the moment before she died, she would have said
“Shit.”
Did anyone else notice that Jasper's hair is all messed up and she has some legit scars (not corruption scars)
I almost cried I recorded my after thoughts but I was recording at midnight (before Steven shattered Jasper his eyes scared me-
Unrelated comment, but I thought it was really funny when jasper reformed after being shattered and then she bowed, like dying was some sort of honor that Steven had finally bestowed upon her XD
And she thought that she could be stronger than him!
There's something about seeing Steven drive that is just so cool. Like I know he's 16 but that really ties it all together.
Him deleting the picture of Greg with the braces is Steven deleting the picture of the life he could have had
No... He won't fuse with Jasper. Not after what he done to her.
He can't live without his gem. And he needs to play catch up if he wants to go to uni.
HAVE YOU *SEEN* THE NOSE ON THE CREATURES FACE THOUGH????
was sad when he deleted the photo but when he shattered her my heart also shattered im so scared for the final
10:11 = Well, as fine as one can be coming from the brink of shattering.
But in all seriousness, I understand your reactions, these episodes were emotionally rough.
Hi, Keep up your awesome videos!

@@ruthenium7475 Hello
@@VictorCN
how are you?
First btw
I'm sad that the last 4 episodes are next Friday, but I'm also excited
Moment of silence for Steven Universe 😔
The animation of Jasper punching blades of glass got me lmao.
_Me commenting under every video to this episode:_ Diamond Eyes Steven. Diamond Eyes Steven! DIAMOND EYES STEVEN! *DIAMOND EYES STEVEN!*
i'm so happy that fusing with jasper wasn't how he got corrupted because if it was all of his mental health issues would have been for nothing

It seems that the tragedy of Greg and Steven's argument isn't that one of them is truly right over the other, but rather that they fail to fully understand and empathize with the different struggles each of them endured.
Mr. Universe is great because it illustrates there are multiple ways to be traumatized. Steven’s is obvious but a lot of people dismiss how long term emotion neglect and repression can also be damaging. One is not worse then the other because it is not a competition. Trauma is trauma.
I love your reactions!
Love your videos bro
No no no...I don't think jasper respects him,I think she was reset.
I was low-key scared of Steven 'cuz he did a thing that he avoided for so long and now its happening 😫
.....I know you said you weren't gonna do the cookies in this video.... DO THEM ANYWAY, WE NEEDS THE COMFORT!!!!
If you pay attention to Steven's pupils in Fragments, when he says he's no longer holding back, they are diamond instead of the normal round. Not sure if anyone else noticed that but wanted to point that out.
Don’t worry Finny-Finn, I’m sure everything will work out okay *somehow!* ... I hope 😓😓😓
Love you Finny-Finn-Finn and stay safe 💙🐱💙
Your affection and support are really touching and I kinda needed to see something like that now.
Xubuntu47 didn’t think my comment would cheer someone else up 😅 thanks for replying and stay safe fellow Stevenite (and Finny-Finn-Fan) 💙🐱💙
You uploaded the video already!
I can only imagine AwestruckVox's reaction to Fragments now!...
Can you review the clips shown for the last four episodes?
Mr.Universe: Um...Steven? Are you ok dude? I'm worried about you....😥
Fragments: OMG! OMG! OMG! OMG! DID THAT JUST SERIOUSLY HAPPEN!?!?!??!? THAT JUST SERIOUSLY HAPPENED!!!!! 😨😨😨
OH DEAR GOD STEVEN!!! WHAT THE HELL MAN?!?!?! YOU JUST FRICKING *SHATTERED* A GEM!!! YOU'RE LUCKY YOUR TEARS, AND THE DIAMOND OILS, WERE ABLE TO BRING JASPER BACK TO LIFE!!! OH DEAR GOD I'M SHAKING OUT OF MY MIND!!!! HE HAD DIAMOND EYES! HE *SHATTERED* A GEM!!!😨😨😨😨! *OH DEAR GOD I AM SCARED FOR STEVEN! HECK I'M SCARED OF STEVEN NOW AT THIS POINT!!!!!😖😖😖😖 OH DEAR GOD, HE FRICKING MURDERED SOMEONE!!!!!!*
I do think that this Healing of Shattered Gems thing opens up a room for opportunities for even more SU 2.0 episode plots
My birthday is when the 4 episodes come out, it’s the best present ever
Jasper turned into..
"Fragments"
I can only imagine how f*cked up the next four episodes are going to be like..
Yep, Steven has gone Pink Savage, next week is final 4 episodes, it’s been nice knowing you, Steven Universe
Oh stars! You must he a sapphire if you can predict that well :0
If this show doesn’t end with Steven going to therapy I’m gonna riot.
Let me tell you the story of Steven Jostar...
The fact you predicted it makes you a bonafide *BADASS*
First video watching from u and thought i was watching stampylongnose when i heard the intro
For some clarification on the ending of Mr. Universe, Steven deleted the photo of Greg and spaced out while Greg was trying to talk to him because Steven feels like he cant come to his dad anymore about his problems. So you were kinda close.
thanks for the video ♥ ️ ♥ ️ ♥ ️ ♥ ️
With his powers Steven can be a space miner.
I religiously ate Cheeto puffs while watching fragments also theory when jasper was reformed she said my diamond maybe she was reset think the personality of a gem is in a gem if it shatters it could have leaked out so it’s like she popped out of the kindergarten
*bring friends*
Oof. Seeing that 5 days later, just... oof
