Thanks for presenting a garden that is not overly manicured.....it felt very natural and peaceful to me. I sometimes find that gardens where flowers are allowed to" ramble a bit".... make me feel more relaxed and I focus upon the beauty and the whimsy of the garden rather than the mulch or the perfectly separated plants. Really restful to the eye and soother me.😊
I knew some of you out there understand my garden concept very well. Minimized maintenance and cost, meanwhile maximize native plants for wild life to benefits our life is my principle. Gardening should please our eyes and soul too yes? Thank you very much for the comment, hope to see you again😊

Those are ajuga reptans, when I started with just a few plants 9years ago in summer, I thought the leafs are very attractive, then the purple flowers in spring really surprised me as a bonus! The spread happily if they like the location, much much better then using mulch. I also used them in pots, they survived over the winter in my zone 6A. Now all my friends will not leave my garden without take some of then home😃
Oh how sweet of you! My property has 2 acres of land, and the previous owner started all the trees and spring shrubs plantings from the mid 80’s. When we took over 9years ago, everything was in tough shape, but somehow we managed OK I guess, thank God❤

Yes you are absolutely right, I never leave my garden😅 I used to travel a lot, but since the pandemic, my garden gets all my attentions, and I feel so satisfied. The previous owned planted all spring shrubs, conifers and unique ornamental trees, so I’ve added a touch, that’s all 😅
