All of Lily's actions were so transparent. She knew deep down that Ethan never loved her, so she figured if she couldn't get him to love her she could at least get to control him. She failed in that too.
Can somebody tell me what made Lily think that the MC would come back to her after what she did I mean it's bad enough she was cheating on the guy but she even when the extra miles to show up at a public event hand in hand with a lover just to publicly shame him and she expected him to come back to her on his hands and knees to apologize nobody with even a little bit of self-respect would agree to something like that
Basically “superiority “ she really believes that Ethan need her in his life for his career so she tries to destroy his pride so he can become her personal puppet, but she fail.
Frankly, I doubt that Mia was ever in love with Ethan. If she had been in love with Ethan, then she would have broken off her ties to Ethan's family the moment that she was able to buy him and would have given him the option to choose to get to know her and even marry her. This would be because her love for Ethan would have respected him as a person and be appalled by the fact that she was able to essentially buy a husband for "x" amount of money. She would have valued his feelings more than the fact that she valued the transaction that had just taken place. If Ethan agreed to dating her and marrying her, then she wouldn't have had to try to change Ethan as she could have gotten to know him better while doing things for Ethan that would have made him open up to her. Instead, she treated him like a slave... a piece of property that she was more than happy to humiliate and degrade for the sake of appearances. However, mistreatment of slaves causes resentment. Kick a dog long and hard enough and eventually it will start to bite and fight back. She might have been infatuated with Ethan, but that is all she was... deeply infatuated with a man who was never going to love her because she never shown her best in loving him. Never once did she think about Ethan's feelings and emotions. Never once did she think about Ethan's face and motivations. All she cared about was her own face and standing as well as her desire to make Ethan into an obedient slave and cuckold as she was able to BUY Ethan from his folks. Love should never have a cost because the price of love shouldn't be able to be measured in currency. Love should always be based on trust and respect because without them, it fades fleetingly. Love is more than wanting the best for people. It is respecting who they are and why they are the way they are, while trusting them to do the right thing. It can forgive people of their wrongdoings, but it doesn't forget those wrongdoings either. Mia knew the moment that she bought Ethan to be her husband, that he didn't love her and instead of letting him try to be himself, she tried to force him to bend to her will... she tried to force him to love her.
Absolutely despicable... almost borderline deplorable... That is Mia and Ethan's former family. I have to say that Mia easily knew better than to treat Ethan like property but chose not to before the divorce. After all, they were in a marriage of convenience. A marriage of convenience for her sake, not Ethan's sake, that is. She wanted Ethan and his love, but never gave him the love and respect he deserved. Well,... maybe she did give him love at first, but she never respected him. When he was pushed to her side, did she ever think to ask him what could make him start loving her after hearing that he didn't love her and probably never would? He treated her with more respect than she treated him throughout their marriage, and what did he get? He got utter humiliation, his brands taken away, and his roles passed to sub-par actors with little to no shame for being third wheels who would relish in the fact to see a man who had no choice in the life he had been handed being mocked, ridiculed, and humiliated.

But isn’t Ethan’s ex-wife called Lily, not Mia??
@@soulcore8630 You're right. It was Evelyn/Lily. Mia was the agent. Thank you for the correction.
