ᴴᴰ R142 2 Express Train via Bowling Green / Wall St Announcements - To Flatbush Avenue from 241 St

- One of the most confusing reroutes, here are the automated announcements for a rerouted 2 train running via South Ferry Loop to Wall St via Bowling green and then back down to Brooklyn. Normally the conductor skips the South Ferry and Bowling green stops, but i managed to piece together the full program.

@@leonorsanchez7382bc the train reverses at Wall St, thus making the train call at Bowling Green twice
once northbound to Wall St, once southbound towards Flatbush Av-Brooklyn College

That reminds me of the time the 2 and 6 were at Bowling Green. (I don't think I have any pictures, but it's been etched into my memory.)

I like when she said “ bowling greeeeen.” That wtc was little weird. After that I was laughing on how they announce the train, route and stations once in downtown area.

And btw, the "South Ferry" reference might be retained in the program, but not announced anymore due to the loop not being used.
i don’t think it was used even when the loop was in sevice(because as far as i know, the R142 doesn’t line up with the gap fillers)
@The MN 6131 the 142 lines up with the gap fillers. The issue is that there is no guard portion installed on thr 142s that prevents conductors from opening the rear 5 cars.
On the 62s, there's is a bracket that conductors place to block the buttons that control the rear doors.

Between Franklin Avenue and Brooklyn College-Flatbush Avenue, along the Nostrand line, they don't say it's a 2/5 "local" train. They just say, "This is a Brooklyn College - Flatbush Avenue-bound 2/5 train. The next stop is [x]."
On certain programs, it gets announced like this. Normally it doesnt
Maybe because everybody already know it's a local train. I wish the 7 train went to Flatbush Avenue.

I don't think they'll ever do a reroute like this again considering how confusing it is. Nowadays they'll just swap the 2/5 [2 to sf, 5 to flatbush]

I do have them recorded but they deleted pretty much all the 1 and 3 train announcements. If I remember only the basic announcements remain, no reroutes or short turns.

They need to stop deleting things .. when they try to the R142’s have missing files and errors plus those reroutes can be useful
