If you buy the lift kit for the coilovers it corrects the spring rate

You gotta upgrade everything that connects to the coilovers also for better results, bushings too , it worked well
    For me no complaints

These coils seem to work better on lighter cars like Civics

I was considering Maxspeedingrods coilovers for our 2002 Lexus LS430 (ML) but I don't want to lower it that much, just enough to narrow the gap enough so that it won't look strange with 19" wheels. Do you think the ride quality would still be bad lowered maybe an inch or so? Or do they make a stiffer coilover or springs for them for these heavier cars? Ours is right around 4,000 lbs dry.

I’ve been on maxpeedring rods for a month now I’m nowhere near maxed out I just lowered my car down to the tire and I don’t really have any complaints I daily drive the car I commute 30 minutes everyday to my college and I also live in Houston so roads here are horrible. That being said it is annoying sometimes because you feel every last bump in the road but you would feel that with pretty much any lowered car. However, I do drive a Honda so I’m a lot lighter than you are I’m not sure if that would make much of a difference but overall I’ve had a great time with these coilovers

@@tero007 I'm at a standstill with the car for now. I ordered new wheels and tires for it a few months back but they poke out about an inch and the tires rub the fenders on bumps and dips. I've learned that the front fenders are hard to stretch on our car, which is a Lexus LS430, and they will buckle if not done properly so I have to get that fixed before I even think about lowering it now.

i put these on my lexus. im not planning on slamming it like you but i wanted it lowered. i maxed out the rear and i maxed out the front without touching the preload. the front ended up slammed the same way yours is. but the rear end still has 3 fingers of gap between the wheel and fender. did i do something wrong or will i have to adjust the preload to get it lower

put they have them backwards from the factory. You'll want to swap the fronts and back bottom collars if that makes sense

Setting more preload doesn't make the spring stiffer....
