Woke agenda aside, the perspective this story was told from was dizzying and awful. Someone tried to do a different kind of parable story of how girls can do and be anything they want but ended up just spouting the same cliche stereotypical story points. Clueless hubby, everyone goes to college, everyone is beautiful by patriarchal standards, everyone is a lawyer, simp hubby drives a classic mustang. Oddly enough, the mom in this should be the hero because she is finding herself and who she is. She’s walking her own path and not being tied down by her male oppressor/husband. So I’m confused about the not so subtle messaging with this story. Shouldn’t the mom be allowed to be a free woman not shackled by a man? Yet the daughter on her soapbox trying to teach all of us how she can live as a man and do anything a man can do yet she is totally compliant with the man designed institution of marriage. Sounds like the writer wants to social engineer all of us but is struggling keeping a consistent message.
Even a story trying to teach us a woke lesson about gender roles can’t help but be about RICH BEAUTIFUL people who ALL go to college are ALL lawyers and drive the cliche cheating story mustang! OF COURSE!
