This video describes the exact scenario I was in, in 1992-93. I was a non-witness, she said we could only date [even a simple movie date] if I studied and became a witness. We had NO INTERNET back then, nor great videos like this helping to shed light on these issues so thank you for making this channel!! I could feel her torture as she outwardly expressed her paranoia - 'they are always watching' - really is a constant fear to all JWs. I was like - this is bull%^&* ok I will study and get baptized and remove your big problem. I was young and wanted to get married too, so that felt natural at that time. Welp, it took 18 years but the conflicts did enter in, towards the end. I really think the conflicts and marriage ended because I had hijacked their little system, done everything right, proved everyone wrong, questioned things that didn't sound right, had few problems and a picture perfect family, and that angered all the long-time 'born and raised' JWs off, basically most of them are dysfunctional whackos with major mental problems - many discussed on this channel. These kool-aid drinking cult members - they all work together. I was outnumbered, viewed as a 'black sheep', never accepted (after taking my family to the Khall for 18 years) was never really accepted into their club so after excusing [my ex-wife's] wrong, unscriptural activity the elders had to create imaginative ideas against me. IT'S A PATTERN - and JWs are losing on every front - they are miserable oppressed, and have an extensive history of destroying families and other problems. NEVER let elders or anyone meddle into your marriage, but the kool-aid drinker will see that as no problem, in fact it will be used as a tool to accomplish their means. Glad to be in the age of Revelation (the revealing!) All of it is coming out.
Great stuff Beth. That’s what makes you so unique, your ability to comprehend a variety of situations and offer sound advice is masterful. These are real situations and the advice on point. You know the dangers of this organization, you’ll unmasked them completely. 👏🏼👏🏼
About 4 years ago I unknowingly met a JW at my job. Long story short, we feel hard for each other.. and after 2 years of excruciating emotional up’s and down’s we finally called it quits.. she wanted me to be a witness and I refused too after I started learning about the religion.. however she has been my trigger ever since, I’m still trying to recover. If you find yourself being attracted to a JW please take my advice and RUN!
@@karenwilliams8977 sorry to hear that you went through that pain and recovering. Run far and fast. Don't fool yourself, JW have no mercy or love in them except for the Watchtower organization. I know because I was one for 40 years. Fortunately, my 2 daughters from birth, I never forced the JW belief system on them but they are remarkably kind and loving, They helped me see the truth that I was always avoiding... it's not the truth from the bible, it's a man-made cult and is evil. Afterward, my JW wife also resigned so we are still together as a family for which I am grateful.
I can't complement your videos enough. They are quick to the point and very assertive. I really enjoy watching them. I sure hope you keep putting them out. You are doing a great service.❤
When I was first studying with the Jehovah's Witnesses, I liked them. I felt they were honest, passionate, and devoted, and different from worldly people. After a while, however, we had value conflicts and disagreements.
I would say unless they are "completely out" don't become involved with a Jehovah's Witness. This isn't like to going to a regular church where one spouse goes and the other doesn't.
Thank you Beth! As always, you are very precise and direct while perfectly articulating the facts of the cult. You are a master of critical thinking! You and Jon’s intelligence and integrity is a such a warm, calming and comforting gift that I truly appreciate. Thank you ! 🥰🫶🏻🤗
There is a common fifth scenario, similar to POMI but not quite. This is my situation, and I saw it with another member of my wife's family and a few other people (in her family and others as well). Children of JW parents, who are unbaptized, but grew up in the religion. They do not buy into it, they were "rebellious" and did not buy into it, maybe went to college, got jobs, maybe left home, etc. They become attractive, mundane/worldy, horny people. They have sex, marry, maybe have kids. They are agnostic, or even Christian, but the JW software is in the background somewhere. As some people get a mid-life crisis, they begin realizing they are getting older and want to secure their place in paradise or their children's morality, et cetera; or maybe one of those life events in their life occurred that made them seek some sort of supernatural "help" or explanation for something. There are many possibilities for why - or maybe someone knocked on the door, as it happened in my case, when my wife was somewhat (and silently) contemplating things like morality and ethics or whatever. Now, you are stuck married to a brand-new JW... The problem is that, when they are brand-new is generally when they are the most zealous. Even as I told her back then, 12-10 years ago, that some things she thought they taught were wrong indeed were her exaggerations, she was zealous to an extreme. Subjects from our young kids hanging out with others after school, to bed matters, to even food at times. I mean, it was bad. Now, having just "celebrated", or more accurately, passed our 27th marriage anniversary, I have some very real advice that I will place in a second comment for those who want it, but it will be blunt and probably not well-received.
I have been gone through this, did study became pioneer. Being in relationship with jw is weird and heartbreaking, i did everything for him but he just made me feel that i am not good enough. Later i found out everything and tried to save him. But he told me i am evil, its so hard when you go though this, i spend 4 years with him, i became depressed because i thought i am not good person. At starting everything was good but later when i saw the true colours i take my decision, i ended everything. In past i was not mature enough, many times he left then came back, i gave him so many chances but it never get better. My decision of leaving this person and this cult is somewhat that saved me, i am not healed but i am happy that i stand for myself. So get out this & live your life peacefully otherwise they will destroy you.
When I was a study, I often wished I had other people sit in with me, as I wasn't great at coming up with quick fire questions that would put JW's on the spot. With 2 JW's studying with you on your own, it can feel intimidating as you're pressured into readily accepting everything out of WT's publications.
My JW mom keeps pushing me to study with them, and she even told her witness friend when I am available. I am in nursing school, this is just unnecessary stress. It’s frustrating because I am an adult; but she treats me like a kid. I had listened in on two studies already and it made me feel awkward because I felt pressured to give them the answer they wanted. They never wanted to hear my honest answer, and I am also not great at coming up with quick fire questions that would put them on the spot.
As I was growing up in the Cult, I had a few chances to Marry, but something deep in my gut told me not to get married. We all finally woke up and left like about 20 years ago. And looking back if I had married a cult member it would not have ended well. When you marry a JW you are also marrying the whole organization and if you have any problems your partner will tell the Elders then everyone will know.
For more context about this, look for my other comment on this thread. For anyone seeking a relationship with a JW, think of the following questions and answer them to yourself - but think of them in what it will mean in 5, 10, or 15 years. I have gone through these questions, even though not every situation: -Do you really love this person? Define what "love" means to you. Make a list - an actual, written list of what love means, generally. Think of it, pray on it, drink or get high while you think about it later. But think about it hard. This advice is good any way you look at it. -If you pass that hurdle, is this someone you want to have and raise a family with? Maybe you do not want kids right now, and that is fine. But this is an ever-changing religion. It would not surprise me that, someday soon, they tell people that having kids is a must because raising them to be little and obedient JWs is their duty, and that contraceptives is bad, evil, wicked, or whatever other adjective. If that happens, be ready. -Unless you really, really do not care about this, realize that every time they go pray to their gods (Jesus and Jehovah, since they are separate in their theology, but they treat Jesus as a god as well - I know, weird) they wish for Kingdom Come. And when that happens, everyone not a JW or wholeheartedly on their way to becoming one will be destroyed. And JWs shall be happy about it. Look up "Armageddon is good news" on their website. I find it horrific, especially when I realized that my wife, in this way, literally prayed for my and my kids' demise every time she went to the Kingdom Hall - in the alternative, she prayed for our forced conversion, which is enslavement in my view and goes against Christians' beloved free will. I digress... -Now, this one is a killer for me, and I would have NEVER married my now wife of 27 years or had kids if I had known this, no matter how gorgeous she was (and is, as a former model) - JWs CANNOT agree to blood transfusions. If she wants to die after an accident, I am okay. As a member of the military, my main concern every time I was deployed or temporarily gone on training was that she would refuse transfusions to our children if they needed it during an accident. If she were to grant that to our kids, she could actually be disfellowshipped for saving them, which means leaving all her friends behind, which is tragic. If you can stomach this, or agree with this practice - well, you and I are different. I would give up a lot of my blood for an unknown child - I would give it all for any of mine, plus arms, legs, organs, et cetera, in a heartbeat. Twice, if I could. NO questions asked. -Anti-scientific views are bad with them - but given the state of the U.S. education system, if that is not a problem for some, that should not be a gamechanger. I seek entertaining and challenging conversations; to me, it is detrimental. I cannot go to museums with my wife, because basically everything in a natural sciences museum disproves a lot of their biblical beliefs - it is not my fault that nature disproves Adam's 6450 year-old purported creation date, or the 4500 year-old alleged global flood that left nearly no evidence of its passing. As in the beginning of my post indicated, make that list of what you would love in a partner. My wife is lovely - can cook, clean, does not cuss, plays good pool, is gorgeous, bed is not a problem mostly, we like similar music and art... and if that is enough for you to love someone, go for it! For me, wanting to enslave me forever to a genocidal deity (or otherwise have me destroyed), and disbelieving reality in lieu of believing in a cult that protects child molesters and changes their views on EVERYTHING EXCEPT policies that protect the children and help authorities prosecute the alleged perpetrators... I shall leave it there. Think it through. I will not tell others what to do. But despite the decent life I have now, I would have made different choices if I could have.
Hello Beth and hello to John. Way to go girl. You know your stuff. These clowns have to be exposed. Keep up the fine work. We love you guys down here in P.R. Many blessings to you and family from The Father Jehovah and Son Jesus Christ. Ismael, Kingdom Christian Witness of Jah from sunny 🌞 Puerto Rico.
A very nice married woman and myself had an 5year affair.....always with guilts and issues. MANY issues. Thats normal you might say. Guess what, she disappeared. After some months we accidentally met and she told me to forget everything and that she rejoined jw..... A totally different person.... A POMI for many years. So proud that helped her rejoin jw.....😂 GUILT is their fixation.😢
Incompatibility at 7:24. This happens in Evangelical Christian denominations as well. They wait to have sex until marriage only to be left with sexual dysfunction afterwards. There are many young couples who waited until marriage to find themselves asking "Is that it? Is this what I waited for all these years?". And they find themselves sexually frustrated.
I actually unknowingly met a JW one night in a bar. We hit it off so fast. He would come close to kissing me but would pull back by continuing to talk to me. At the time I thought he was being respectful. However, when he disappeared out of nowhere, that made absolutely no sense until months later I uncovered he was in fact a JW! He’s the reason I went and learned about JW’s. All of it makes sense now. However, knowing the price I would have to pay just to be with him, I am glad I chose to move on. I would have put myself in a very compromising situation. Thank you very much for this enlightenment Beth. Side note: I love your Glasses!
JW women are not averse to asking men to marry them. Speaking from first hand experience here, I was asked . . . Twice. By two different women. I politely declined both offers. Needless to say I fell from the good graces of both women in record time. The pressure to marry soon became overwhelming and that was added to the growing list of reasons why I headed for the watchtower exit.
when I was 18 years old, I went to a party. I was not a witness. I quit going at 14 years old. I start dancing with this chick. We ended up going back to her apartment and sleeping together. We had just met the next day. I'm up early at her house and I see a watchtower on the tablethen I noticed other JW literature. I asked her what is up with this. She said oh it's a church that I go to ha ha ha I was shocked. I couldn't believe it. She was a baptized. Jehovah's Witness. There's much much more to the story. we ended up seeing each other and continuing to have sex for about four or five months until one day she turned herself in to the elders that put an end to that, but for the next three or four years a few times a year she would show up at my door in the middle of the night. We would mess around and she would go her separate way. It's strange how life can end up sometimes looking back on it now.
It rarely works out in the long run, I can speak from experience. Save your self a lot of heart ache. Cult behavior is very embedded. Once the honeymoon is over, reality will hit and heels start to get dug in. Not very compatible, the percentages for happiness resulting in a good marriage will drop. You are never on the same page, frustration follows, you are living in two separate worlds.
Haha! I had a JW that I was sort of dating. She was married, but sort of separated. We did lots of activities together, picnics, dancing, eating and drinking (alcohol), late night drinks and kissing in the car etc. She loved it all, but could not be 'unequally yoked', so things could go no further. What!? She wanted to be a devout member of the org but couldn't really do it in some ways. I dodged a bullet.
I love when JWs approach me. I'm not JW, never was never will be. I start right off saying, " You all must be so proud to know one of the greatest generals and president's was raised JW. That in itself shows his fine upbringing. " Of course they have no clue what I'm talking about and I go into the biography of Dwight Eisenhower. Then I say, " Thank you for stopping by. I am happy I shared with you about such a great and noble person from our history " and I close the door and they don't come back.
I am currently crushing on a JW. We both like each other and want to be together, but she tells me she cant date me as she only dates JWs. Instead, she wants me to read and learn about the religion so that, in her words, I have an understanding of why we cant be together. It is sad as we both feel this huge connection toward one another
Slightly different experience here, but I got involved with a highly indoctrinated since birth Christian man who I'd assume was taught a lot about purity culture. Two years after him ending what we had out of the blue without an explanation I still think of him daily and just wish he'd have grown up differently. Totally a journey for sure
In my situation,in contacting JW's all over the 🌎 trying to wake them up to the terrible danger that their in(i got disfellowshipped for exposing the governing body's apostasy) I've fallen in love with a sister from another country. We've been going steady for about a year. Would you like to make a video about that scenario please Beth?😂
People, whether exjw or not, need to learn to love themselves unconditionally (no attachments). You can not love anyone else unconditionally unless you 1st love yourself unconditionally. That's all there needs to be taught.
The core reason why the Jehovah's Witnesses are the way they are is this belief that they or we all are in the last day. As a Preterist I found myself to be completely immune to they're tactics. There is a doctrine that's gaining traction in Christianity. It's called Preterism and a person who holds to this view is called a Preterist. It states that ALL Bible prophecy was fulfilled in the first century or 40 years after Christ's ascension when the temple as well as the city of Jerusalem was destroyed by the Roman amies in the year AD70. There are futurists that do believe most but not all prophecies were fulfilled. They are called "partial preterists" when in fact they are still futurists who have a very preteristic take on eschatology. Most of these "partial preterists" are Postmillennialists. And Preterist are often called "full preterists". Channels such as MrDonPreston, NCMI Live (with Ward Fenley), Covenant Creation, Michael Sullivan, and The Power of Preterism Network talk about this. There's also video here on UA-cam titled: "You've Gotta Be Kidding... Right?". It's found on the channel called Fulfilled Communications Group. I would love to see you make a video about this doctrine regardless if you agree with it or not. God Bless you and your ministry.
It’s funny the people that bash for the sake of bashing. I was born and raised a Witness, left in my early 20’s but was gone in my mind around 16. There are A LOT of good hearted witnesses who genuinely think what they are doing is right, BECAUSE they have been brainwashed. They aren’t bad people they just need help getting out. Their hearts are in the right place they’ve just been horribly brain washed and they need our help getting out. I understand being angry because I feel the same at times towards these people, but they aren’t all bad.
What do you think about witnesses who experience trauma/ psychosis and come out as non believers?and base everything in psychology.science and quantum physics.and the god delusion as a sovereign being of the universe?
I was a JW and had a hot younger non JW girlfriend. Elders never found out, they would have flipped out. I remember getting so many texts from her non stop and I'd have to go outside the hall to text her. She hated I was JW and when I was at meetings. Even though it never actually really interfered with our relationship. But she would have wanted the Holidays and all that. After two weeks together she was talking marriage and kids. I took her on a beach get away, we had sax all weekend long. Then she dumped me the next day because I was a JW. It all lasted only 5 weeks, but it was intense. I'm glad I got to have that experience though. But I said I wasn't going to leave (I wasn't ready, but I always questioned, and had to bury and pretend, ignore, a lot to be a JW to be able to keep some faith). I'm still single, I often wonder if I would have found a wife and had kids had I not been a JW, I was married for a whole 4 months to an insane JW gal though (years before this girlfriend). She left being a JW after we broke up. It's really sad how the JW system puts such a massive divide between people, and finding love, unless they are a JW. Even then, they make it very hard and sisters won't look at you unless you're way up the totem pole and everyone in the hall puts a good word in for you. I did decide to just keep dating non JW's though, and just never told them I was a JW. Went on lots of dates, had sax. But having to hide it and worry about getting caught, doesn't help a relationship at all, and nothing really went anywhere and was very short lived. I only told on myself once, and then after that, I realized, never, ever tell the Elders anything, they won't find out anyway. I worried God would find out, but I realized, if I didn't tell on myself, they never find out. So really.....it's just humans watching you.
It can work. I'm a secular humanist and my wife is a JW. 20 years and we still hold hands when we go for a walk. Her parents tried to convert me years ago and gave up when I could argue with chapter and verse even though I'm atheist. I think they were scared I might stumble them. Lol.
Joseph's brothers sold him to Egypt. When their father died, they wrote a letter to Joseph because they assumed that after their father's death, he would kill them out of revenge. all those years passed and they still though/assumed things. John 18:6 When Jesus said, “I am he,” they drew back and fell to the ground. (the soldiers stumbeled) and he didnt say "lol"to them. imitate Jesus!
From personal experience don't talk about subjects you don't agree on and never will like JWs religion etc . Not that's it's wrong or not good to talk but you can't talk to someone with a closed and controlled mind.
I maybe a borderline celibate, however the women I would able to date are the the ones that go to church with Apostolic succession( Catholic, Eastern Orthodox, Oriental Orthodox, Church of the East, Lutheran, Anglican, Assyrian Church of the East),can't sand bible thumpers.
Yes I was in love with a JW but she wanted me talk to the elders and baptized in her cult but no I respected her I read all of the mechanical function of the sect but a problem arise at work and they ask her if she was going out with me so they fire me from work she feels bad but yes we could have gone to bed but no I told her that I respect her a lot ❤
Is it really wanting to go back to the k. h., or really wanting him and his approval? Please tred carefully. Read the other comments from ones who have already experienced this. I wish you well! 🤗🫶🏻
Sounds like the government savior mentality all across the board. Remember, two wings (R&D), same bird. They ALL read from the same playbook globally, including religion, big pharma & others I won’t mention.
Take a lesson from Romeo and Juliet, it did not end well for either. Walk away, you don't need the drama or pain. IF you are already married, I was a Watchtower puppet for many years, but fortunately, I walked away with my Wife and 2 loving kind amazing girls. I was extremely fortunate...most are not and suffer terrible pain and loss and live that daily. A good friend of mine when he left, two children committed suicide and his JW wife treats him like a leaper, he jokingly tells me he has death to look forward to, but I know he is not joking.
It’s so crazy ironic that you mentioned POMI…. That is my guy bestie. He has been inactive for about a year now, and is so tired of and frustrated with so many of the brothers & sisters and the gossip and the 6 sisters who have been my bullies for the past 5 years… but for some reason he still thinks that the religion itself might be the truth. We both really like each other but right now, and I stopped studying & being an unbaptized publisher about a year ago but yet we still feel a little apprehensive about hanging out in our small city because of the toxic af sisters & the creepy stalker brother going full on into their chisme again…. But I love how I was just thinking about things & wondering how to describe physically out but still a little mentally in guy best friend. Amazing how the universe has been working with me so much lately & giving all kinds of signs & synchronicities about different things. ☺️🫠😎🫶🏽🌺
To possibly help you & your bestie, please read W17 February, article "Who Is Leading God’s People Today?" Notice what para.12 & 13 say. I will say this; there is life after being a JW. Wishing you & your bestie the best.

Oh my gosh! A lot of good information. Thank You
Hello Beth and hello to John.
So proud that helped her rejoin jw.....😂
GUILT is their fixation.😢
Incompatibility at 7:24. This happens in Evangelical Christian denominations as well. They wait to have sex until marriage only to be left with sexual dysfunction afterwards. There are many young couples who waited until marriage to find themselves asking "Is that it? Is this what I waited for all these years?". And they find themselves sexually frustrated.
So true! Thanks!!!!!
Smart Lady
Great information to share❤
It rarely works out in the long run, I can speak from experience. Save your self a lot of heart ache. Cult behavior is very embedded. Once the honeymoon is over, reality will hit and heels start to get dug in. Not very compatible, the percentages for happiness resulting in a good marriage will drop. You are never on the same page, frustration follows, you are living in two separate worlds.
You did a great job with this, Beth.
Lol this appearing on my feed is like a sign 😭
Why's that?😅
Oh shit 😂 better run 🏃♂️
Pomis aren’t your homies ?
😂😂😂 truth
I want this on a T 😆
Jaja for real 😂
Besties?
@@MaryWallace-wv2bnRight? Same here.
Oh nooo…. Ruuuuunnnn. 😂😂
Dot Gammit, you're an expert JW pyschiatrist, psychologist, and sociologist! 😅
Great video!
I'm not a Jehovah Witness but... LOL. I'm still trying to get un-gay.
Why ? You are who you are!
I am currently crushing on a JW. We both like each other and want to be together, but she tells me she cant date me as she only dates JWs. Instead, she wants me to read and learn about the religion so that, in her words, I have an understanding of why we cant be together. It is sad as we both feel this huge connection toward one another
Oh my goodness… “ they see the hypocrisy”. So so true.
Thank you for sharing.
Slightly different experience here, but I got involved with a highly indoctrinated since birth Christian man who I'd assume was taught a lot about purity culture. Two years after him ending what we had out of the blue without an explanation I still think of him daily and just wish he'd have grown up differently. Totally a journey for sure
In love w a jw? You in danger girl
Girl you’re good 😊 my son does this we have been out awhile but I worry my son will go back
In my situation,in contacting JW's all over the 🌎 trying to wake them up to the terrible danger that their in(i got disfellowshipped for exposing the governing body's apostasy) I've fallen in love with a sister from another country. We've been going steady for about a year.
Would you like to make a video about that scenario please Beth?😂
1:30 - Reminds me of Revelation 3:16. Nobody likes a lukewarm POMI. Go full POMO and live your genuine life!
What other situations could there be besides bible study 🤔
"I'm not therapist" - one extra space could make a lot of difference 🤪
People, whether exjw or not, need to learn to love themselves unconditionally (no attachments). You can not love anyone else unconditionally unless you 1st love yourself unconditionally. That's all there needs to be taught.
Df'd ones are attracted to smart, good-looking "worldly people." Bcz, I mean, what have they got to lose ?
😢at the end we know its the truth. We can be jw or dispelled . What else is the truth ?
Do not become unevenly yoked with Jehovah's witnesses! 😂
Oh, are YOU in for a rough ride!
Who? Why?
What does "stoptheshunning" and the governing body have in common? They both never apologize. By their fruits you will recognize them.
Yea very true. POMI are the worse to have as friends
Flight risk! 😂
It would be AMAZING if the Jehovah witnesses WOULD find The Real JESUS
And live forever as a parasite on earth. Is that the book title?
No you're not 😂
I thought you were a therapist. what do you do for work?
Are JW’s allowed to date studies?
Im a POMI in love with a PIMO ❤. I want to come back to the Kingdom Hall
Those who go back are likened to "a dog that returns to it's vomit."
Is it really wanting to go back to the k. h., or really wanting him and his approval? Please tred carefully. Read the other comments from ones who have already experienced this. I wish you well! 🤗🫶🏻
Pomi denial sounds like the GOP/MAGA cult
Sounds like the government savior mentality all across the board. Remember, two wings (R&D), same bird. They ALL read from the same playbook globally, including religion, big pharma & others I won’t mention.
Hey there you still Jehova witness or no i stapped you are single woman ❤
Dont be your life will suck
