There are times the river is right up on his deck, other times the river is almost dry. So unless there was a major logistical project to damn the river I would say his location is pretty safe from the encroaching public for a while. And thank goodness because it is beautiful there.

@@Name-lg2ry I agree. I liked the folks in Asheville that lived on 1 acre of land (Tony and Amelia). But Colbert was definitely the best. And throw running around in animal skin tidy whiteys always made it interesting LOL
I've always wondered if production had something to do with Colbert's fire.
Hey Roxanna! I have no clue. Thanks for watching and for the comment. I guess we will all have to wonder that LOL.
same here. it cant just burn up just like that , I guess an outdoors man who lives easily doesn't get much views as the one who is struggling.
Wish the show will come back on
Hey Eric! I do too. It was a pretty interesting show.
Oh my gosh I couldn’t find anything about him after the show ended those years ago
Hey Jello! He is alive and well. I talk with him a few times a month and try to get down there a few times a year, but may not be able to this year.
If I do, you will see a few vids on here where he spreads some knowledge!
💯💯💯
Hey Venson! Appreciate the "300" score on this video. Have more raw footage from my recent visit with Colbert. It will be posted soon, I have been slammed with events, gatherings and teaching the last few weeks.
Where did you get your large leather side pouch? Looks sturdy😊
I replied on another thread to this same question, but will paste it here in case anyone else is wondering :)
I made that myself. Currently I am trying to find a leather smith to make them for me. I have OPSG making a version out of canvas as well. Those will be coming out sometime this year and will be available on my website or if you get to a gathering I am vending at, you can buy one there as well!
It holds all my fire tinder and fire starting kit.
I miss catching up on him with the show.
Hey BARRY! He is a favorite of just about anyone that watches the show. Always have fun when I visit down there with him.
Take what you find and make what you need everything is a tool or building material for some craft 🏡
Hey Fred! Colbert is an expert at that!
Mooie Cabin Daar
Hey Tony!
We loved seeing that Cabin. As I am a Brit can you tell me what state of America that is? Thanks for posting.
Hey 4 x 4! This is the state of Georgia in the American swampy south. It is a stones throw away from Florida. Glad you liked the cabin vid, I will have more when I can get back down there and visit Colbert again. Thanks you for watching!
@@bombproofbushcraft Is his cabin near Homerville GA?
@@lukemccardle2379 Hey Luke! I have been sworn to secrecy and can not get any more specific than I already have. ;)
All of that swamp will be neighborhoods in the next 10 years
Hey Rudd! In most places I would agree with you. But in this case I would say probably not. The river Colbert is on literally rises and drops about 20-30 feet depending on the season. There are times the river is right up on his deck, other times the river is almost dry. So unless there was a major logistical project to damn the river I would say his location is pretty safe from the encroaching public for a while. And thank goodness because it is beautiful there.
Take up a collection for Colbeart to get him a Big Burkey water filter
I love this guy. That is my dream house. Is he married?
Hey OTS! He is a lovable character, and the house is charming. It is all hand built form his plan in his head. I won't go into his personal life, LOL. Going to try and get down there again this year for some more fun and learning in the swamp!
He is single and loves women
Live free or Die ! ALPHA bunker, shack, thé best is underground Tiny city, hidden fees
Hey Christian! Not sure what all that means, BUT thanks for the comment LOL.
I want to know the biggest fish in his river.
Hey Krisztian! I don't know how big the biggest one is, but we have caught a fish that satisfy the emptiness in your belly.
Colbeart is entertaining the laidys …
Hey PeskyBobcat! It doesn't take too much to entertain me LOL. The front porch of the cabin, a cup of soup, and some tea and I am content. LOL
@@bombproofbushcraft how is he doing anyway no one has given a update
@@peskybobcat Colbert is doing well. I talk to him at least once a month. He takes care of the swamp....and the swamp takes care of him.
@@bombproofbushcraft I am in Kentucky and we can’t drink the water here how is it he is abele to drink the water there right from the river without poisoning himself?
@@peskybobcat I am not sure about your water. But I think that the government tells us things aren't safe in order to make us live in fear. People living in fear are easy to control. The water out of the river by Colberts is fine to drink. I drink it when I am there. Colbert has a philosophy. If the animals in the woods can do it, then he pretty much can as well (for the most part).
Colbeart a bear dues sh!t in the woods I’ve seen it…
Tee hee hee jeez he ain’t that funny 😆
