@@1BarnetTE. If you've looked at his past videos, he's already done one of those. Also electrostars arent that shit, as if they didnt exist we would still be riding on slamdoors across the country. (Electrostars were made before turbostars, so without the electrostar there wouldnt have been a turbostar created as quickly)
I think you'll find that they both use the same horn and air supply system. So in fact it is exactly the same noise. Little trivia note, when traveling below 15 mph the horns are quieter, this is to ensure they don't deafen people close to the gorgeous units.
I can't decide, if I had to choose it'd have to come down to a wheel picker! Awesome thumbnail and video though, but you're lucky that these drivers do this otherwise this kind of content would happen so props to the drivers and their trains and operators too! :)
Guys what an OUTSTANDING video. Class 700 is without doubt my absolute favourite. 3 phase horns at its finest. 717 is a really dirty manly sound. I like the 700 personally. Sounds like tchaikovsky in his finest hour. Anyone have any videos of the flange lube service or sanding equipment ? Thanks in advance
Hey mate! Superb video of what seems to me to be one of the best horn wars of the lot! Is it possible to tell me the name of the music used in the beginning of the video? Cheers
Class 717 trains are legends for hooting their horns at train spotters at same as class 700 theamslink trains and great northern class 365 and LNER azumas and grand central 180's and Hull trains
It sounds like the 700 horn had 2 variations, a fake electric sounding one and a real loud one. Lol probably to prevent too much noise when in close range .
Guy's what Horn War should I do next Vote down below and I'll chose the best one. Maybe it could be between 3/4 Trains?? Your choice.
Yours,
Oli
The Surrey Transport Hub we need the war of the electrostars:
357, 375, 376, 377, 378, 379, 387
Not those Shitstars 🤧
Do a Horn War of the Class 90 and Class 86!

To be honest, the 717's horn actually sounds like a horn. The 700's is really nice but doesn't sound real. So I like the 717 more.
the class 717 and 700 AND 707 have the same horn :/
@@NotDavidTrains they don't, they have different pitches, but looking back at this they do all sound very similar lmfao

What does the 3 phase mean. I think the new class 700/717 train horns sound electric?
Class 707, 717 and 700 I think are in the same family
Great video. ☺
Edit: I just subscribed to ur UA-cam channel.
Class 700 part B (passing by) is amazing horn tone!
In my opinion, the 700’s are the winners although excellent standing from both trains and excellent video.

Yes I know this was last year and now we don't do it.
Also, middle platform at Hadley Wood is for emergency use only, and normally out of bounds to members of the public
