The station opened on September 29, 1984.

Ein Unikat unter den Frankfurter U-Bahnstationen!😍
Wenn man bedenkt, dass der Bahnhof 1984 eröffnet worden ist und welches Flair die anderen Stationen haben, die zu dieser Zeit gebaut worden sind, dann ist das hier ein echtes Schmuckstück.
Der Bahnhof passt sehr gut nach Sachsenhausen hinein, das geprägt ist durch attraktive Altbauten und das berühmte Ausgehviertel, worauf auch das Wandbild im Sperrengeschoss Bezug nimmt.
Die Station hat was👌
Schöne Station. Und ziemlich tief für deutsche Durchschnittsverhältnisse
Da werden Erinnerungen wach. Ich bin 79 geboren und die Station wurde Mitte der 80er eröffnet und die sieht immer noch so aus wie früher ❤

I never liked advertisement posters on metro stations yet here the wall round boards are quite a refreshing and unexpected surprise.
Architects should stick their obsession with their minimalist straight lines up their arses and give the World more round shapes instead. And many ovals too.
I mean even if they aren't a work of art even the oval-shaped pillars at Schweizer Platz station look much better than the standard square or rectangualr ones you normally find everywhere else.
Thank you! The round boards are showing all the museums that are located near the station, so in this case they are no real advertisements and the content doesn't change.
