This brings back great memories just me and my dog in my Toyota Hilux in Northern Ontario up the hundreds of old Logging and Mining roads in the 1980's
Graham I know it's hard to leave your enjoyment and I also hope that you got home safely to WA and save your house. If you have a look on my photos you'll see a few videos where I was stuck with Pat Callaghan on the border of Queensland New South Wales when we had 55 fronts come through in different directions I also helped out 8 elderly residents from my dead end road to get out for safety there was even a semi-trailer they got caught in the Firestorm unexpectedly. Yep we were trapped.
is it coil.. the gu, has better radius arms, wheel base, trnsmission brake, that toyota.. the coil buckets need strengthening. toyota have a better low range..80 series. nissan better diffs, steering box.. theres a nissan g/box, with a better first. go check out, drive in low, an f100 4x4. they nearly stop in low.. take note of how the springs are tied in, mounted.. that,,is how its done. japs never conned on to it.. long radius arms with pin thru hole. not bolt like toyota..
Great watch, some awesome tracks there. Anyone know what good the 10% discount code is. Just tried to use it today and cos the items I'm purchasing from Adventure Kings are all got there daily discounts could not use the 10% off. Only apply to the item when at RRP....
Hi Graham, I bought a 2015 DeMax 6 months ago, to replace my ageing 2002 Hilux, just wondering, do you have front and rear lockers? I also have bought a 23' caravan, and want to set it up for some off road work. (Lawn Hill Gorge and similar areas) Any recommendations?
I'm not Graham but I wouldn't personally get a front locker unless if you are gonna do some real tough tracks. Dmaxs are usually more touring oriented. Beach driving with long onraod huals
im in a club. registered. do the same.. a front locker is the first choice, its the front that pulls you thru, this is why a rear will bog down, if no front locker.. easier to pull, than push, yes.. plus. ifs is crap. best 4x4rs, are the toyota 80. & nissan gu. 4.2tdi. or late 3.0..after the hand grenades.. tech, egr, d.e.f. sensors, will stop you.. less crap, computer sht, the better.. i drive a s/duty, 4.2tdi, 700nm. no computer, nothing. 14 lt 100.. turns better than a 79 chunk..& more room, more comfort.. &.a 3 rd the cost. paid 25k for it. 8 yrs ago. no probs. 2000 model..35,s. 3'' lift. self. no arb / tjm crap.. fitted a 5.4 s/duty diff, there disc, mine was drum.. cost. $500.. try that, with a 79 series.. best 4x4 ever produced. was the ford f100 4x4 swb.. 2 ft travel std, lsd that worked. unlike toyota.. ford g/box, granny first. all drive train will stand 400 hp.. so. it dont break..plus, uni front diff, not cv crap.. watch u.s. vids. you learn more.. yes.. im bias. i also own a 75 ford f250 high boy. 26 '' to the sill. std.. same as power wagon, or chev cucv.. military trucks..
sold some parts to a retired guy, with a new looking 80 series. gxl.. nice.. but, he drives a ford f350, twin cab, tows a 28 ft caravan. 7.3 power stroke. 15 lt 100.. 8.5t..@@keqrou
Why does nobody run SecondAir internal beadlocks??.....Running low pressures for rocks and sand with peace of mind, and lock that bead against the rim in that muddy stuff!! AND they are an Australian product
79,s are rubbish.. expensive,, rubbish.. mate spent 85k on a new 76 series, got all the lockers, works jerks, from toyota..25k, bogged..useless.. too short, no wheel travel..
For me, personally, - and I know I don't speak for anyone else, but I have many interests on UA-cam and I follow quite a lot of content providers, so these videos being over and hour... I don't think I've watched any of them all the way and most of them I don't even start. They are just too long. For me, All 4 Adventure have got it right in that their videos are mostly 20 to 25 minutes long - a decent amount of time and not too long. Just saying...
Oi what happened to Graham at 45 minutes into the video everyone was like okay cya mate and he full copped a plane back to wa cause of "fires" like wtf
If you been to WA then you know why he went back in such a hurry. A wild fire near his home and property he most like be on his own to fight the fire as so remote.
Miss these old episodes soo much better than the new ones

You can tell how old the episode is by what beer sponsorship they currently have.
Poor buggers haven't had a decent one yet lol
Toyota should've sponsored them by now 😢

Glad to hear your house is ok in the bushfires. We hade a close call near Kearsley, NSW, recently.
Just a tiny tip on your potato bake. Butter and garlic on the bottom before you start…….. i promise you wont regret it
Graham with so little salt and pepper 😅
Just a little tip . Smoked bacon cut into small pieces , always makes that potato bake even better !
Go the Patrol! good episode
Wonder if these tracks are still open or have been shut like a lot of the others. Id love to do a trip up there. Anyone know?
