@@dahannes6739 how is it a weak penalty, the shot was on target, and there's a video from cech explaining why he thought robben would go for a powerful shot rather than placing as it was in the extra time and so on. It was cechs intelligent thinking and judgement that saved it and no that penalty by robben was in no way a weak penalty. Appreciate where it deserves.
The legend, he will always be remembered as one of the best goalkeepers the PL has ever seen. Not just because of his shot stopping, but also because of his bravery and courage in coming back after life threatening head injury.
Is that why he always wore that helmet on his head???

Nothing but respect for this man. He won us Champions League back in 2012. Look at the pens that game, he goes in the right direction for every single one of them
Because he watched every penalty ever taken by barca players for the past 5 years prior to the final that is dedication and great memory to remember the videos in the heat of the final shootout . Me I'm a united fan and he is the only keeper who can stand shoulder to shoulder with schmeichel don't care what anyone says.

Cech is widely regarded as the BEST GOAL KEEPER the EPL have ever seen, point, blank, period.

Most clean sheets by a mileeeee. Lowest goals ever conceded (15) goals. He was unbeatable during his prime, almost.
Underrated and Cech should not be used in the same sentence cos he gets all the accolades.

@@KukasGaming a difference of just 1% in terms of clean sheets per match, having in account Van Der Sar spent over half of his career in the PL at Fulham. By that logic James and Reina are better than Schmeichel. I don't think so.
@@KukasGaming clean sheets is not a function of goal keepers alone. It involves defenders too. So you can't really judge a goal keeper based on the number of clean sheets he has kept.

Quite simply, his positioning, handling and catching were so good that he very rarely had to make a spectacular save.
Cup final one in particular stands out as one of his best.

Cech has made better saves than some of these. I remember one against Everton in his last season at Chelsea which was unbelievable even by his standards.

I like using our old guard but they need to be scouting,team moral,training,youth development etc.
As technical advisor, he was the one to tell the club to bring in Mendy. I think he is doing just fine in his role. And he still trains - he trained with the team before the CL final, presumably to give Mendy tips.
