James Wan gave us a love letter to horror fans with 70s Giallo, 80s cheese, 90s slasher, and 00s psychological thriller. Everything was intentional. He is brilliant. Definitely in my top 10 of 2021.
Yea most of the parts that viewers thought were just "weird" were laugh out loud funny to me or just really obvious homages. I think this is going to be a cult classic in 10 years.
