Having had two ACL reconstructions (15 years apart) and still playing soccer regularly, I cannot stress this enough. Wear the appropriate footwear for the surface you are playing on. Stud patterns vary widely. Make sure you understand FG (firm ground), SG (soft ground), MG (multi-ground), and AG (artificial ground). Europe is great at providing tons of options for stud patterns; however, the US is HORRIBLE at this. 90% of the footwear is geared towards FG only when the vast majority of surfaces are AG. Warrantees on the shoes will be voided in most instances if you use the shoes on the wrong surface not to mention the massive RISK of doing so. Injuries to the knee are usually avoided by proper footwear and knowledge around movement (especially cuts and jumps). Try to always land a jump with your knees directly under your shoulders. Avoid excessively long grass (you can get stuck and cause an injury) or artificial surfaces with no bounce (this will cause meniscus stress).
Two weeks ago I twisted my ankle, I couldn’t walk for 3 days and my ankle was full on swollen doing exercises to recover but I played after 1 week or so and it wasn’t the best bc I was doing long passes and I twisted my standing foot anyway if you could do exercises to prevent it bc rn I’m doing lots with yoga mats for balance (folding it and trying to stand one footed) and then with elastics and some basics

I have 4 days post ACL surgery right now
Take the rehab seriously. It takes a lot of persistent work, but it will provide you the most mobility for the future. Best of luck to you!
