Gishora Drummers Burundi

I don't know if it was the excitement of witnessing their performance that totally made me oblivious to the many persons that had stopped to watch the drummers but definitely put a smile on my face to know that the thunderous sound of the Gishora drummers never grows old for Burundians themselves.
Gishora Drum sanctuary is among the most prominent drum sites in Burundi and is situated along the top of the hill at 7km from the urban centre of Gitega. It is also at 200m along Gitega-Ngozi route. This drum csite was founded by King Mwezi Gisabo after attaining victory over his rebellious opponent Chief Ntibirangwa.
