I Can't Afford To Pay My Energy Bills. What Should I Do? - Навчання та стиль
What questions do you have for us about paying your energy bills? Comment below :). One tip we forgot to mention is that paying a small portion of your bill rather than none at all will help you avoid your arrears being sent to debt collectors. E.g. You can pay around £15 of a £150 bill. This shows an intent to get your arrears or debt sorted.
There’s lots you can do Eat baked beans and fried onions with seasoning on toast for one year for lunch and dinner , eat raw porridge oats for breakfast it will expand in your stomach and keep hunger at bay , instead of buying expensive toilet paper you can get napkins from fast food restaurants , shower at work , Use tea bags up to three times . Instead of putting the heat on run on the spot at full pace to keep warm .We are living In treacherous times , keep faith as God will always provide for us . Wonderful episode as usual. Your both glowing and look healthy God Bless 🙏🏽
But bread is fattening, will it work for me? 😂😂
Fat from bread ???? when you are hungry
Love you guys so much .. such incredibly kind hearted people may God bless and illuminate your paths in everything you do
Amen 😊🙏🏾🙏🏾
Thanks guys this is very helpful it is very difficult times we are living in and pray then sun will shine again one day :)
You're most welcome.
I've gone on a pay as you go system. I feel this was the best choice I have made. I also so have kids and we don't go without it's just used when we do need it and we don't waste.
Brilliant. It's great you're going for the option that's best for you
Our monthly energy direct debit to Octopus was less than £100 for 5 years since moving into our current rented home, but our landlords 'went green' and replaced our trusty oil boiler with a new pressure electric boiler system which does not work (it leaks and the radiators upstairs stay cold) and our direct debit is now a whopping unaffordable £500! Bang goes our savings!
Wow
Contact your landlord to install energy efficient boiler , radiator and insulate the property if it’s losing heat. £500 can potentially bankrupt most people and such amount is unsustainable.
@@MrRoyck10 my last home was £588 for energy UW. Needless to say i moved.
Was counting my cents when I went food shopping.
We feel you 🙏🏾

Apparently for those who pay their bills an extra amount is being added to pay for those who can’t or will not pay !! Is this true ?
Yea.. I make similar videos btw :)
Energy companies have stated that our bill increase also goes towards installing other peoples' smart meters. It is a disgrace.
wtf!!!
Why should tv license be a priority debt at this difficult time?
Good question. I feel like old ways of thinking are not being adjusted by the powers that be in this difficult economic climate. If one doesn't pay their TV license, they're threatened by a £1,000 fine. No one seems to care for anything but the need to pay the license fee.
You could stop eating, and use the savings to pay other bills..
Food is ofcourse a priority. However, other bills can be negotiated and managed.
No one should ever be pushed to that. But this is the harsh ultimatum that many people are facing.
And most of them are immigrants who come here, bread a tribe of kids and expect the UK to finance it.
