For a better soft eraser effect, Lower the opacity of your eraser to 20%(or 10%) and use Felt tip Pen(soft)

Hey, Kooleen quick tip for ibisPaint X so if you want to make the eraser brush a little softer, just change the opacity, it will make more of a change, but it will kind of be harder to erase.
as a traditional (and sometimes digital) artist, this is helpful both ways!
