R.I.P. Gilbert Gottfried. Easily one of the best guests to appear on the show throughout the years. His unique sense of humour was fantastic. Thank God he never let political correctness stand in the way of his comedy.
Thank you for this series. I've listened (and relistened) to all of these. As someone in their 20s I was only just recently introduced to Gilbert. He was a genius comic and artist. RIP Gilbert
A couple of months ago, a redditor posted a question of: "What's a Podcast actually worth listening to?" I responded to their post with the following: "Gilbert Gottfried's Amazing Colossal Podcast. Gilbert Gottfried and his co-host, Frank Santopadre, had done such a great service for old, and all but forgotten Hollywood. Interviews with directors, actors, musicians, voice artists, television hosts, etc. Frank and Gilbert not only gave all of us a true gift, but many of their guests as well. Many of these people they interviewed like Carl Reiner, Peter Marshall, Bill Macy, Al Jaffee, Dick Van Dike, Sonny Fox, and John Astin, were all NONAGINARIANS at the time, and many of their guests had dissapeared from the public eye DECADES ago. I've no doubt that some of these guests had all but given up on life, and were just waiting for death to find them, but as the interview progressed, you could PRACTICALLY FEEL the spark of life being reignited in these golden age icons getting one more day in the spotlight to share their wisdom, knowledge, and experiences. There were times while listening to some of these guests, (and I KNOW Gilbert and Frank had these moments as well) that I felt like I was a kid, sitting on the floor listening to an elder speak, and I was HONORED to be able to listen. There were PLENTY of laughs to be had as well, as we also got to hear Gilbert's impressions of Old Groucho Marx, Jerry Seinfeld, Humphrey Bogart and others that will take you back to his days of getting to sit in during the news from The Howard Stern Show. As well as moments and stories that would give you chills. People often give Howard Stern praise for his interviews [especially Howard Himself, seeing as how he went as far as to publish a book of interview transcripts to PROVE it's true (such a fall from grace if you ask me)] but many of Gilbert and Frank's guests were truly inspiring, and they were all beautiful. I CAN NOT give Frank and Gilbert enough praise for what they did. The podcast ran from 2014 to 2022, so don't judge the early episodes too harshly for audio and technical problems. Even Gilbert had his doubts about getting this podcast to work, but eventually he came to acknowledge that what they were doing was a good thing. RIP GILBERT GOTTFRIED (02/28/1955 - 04/12/2022) you truly were taken from us TOO SOON."
First of all, whoever is putting these out thank you so much. I’ve listened to all of them. Gilbert was the best best best guest. This one Howard finally gets to Gilbert a little bit where Gilbert is answering real questions and getting into his life a bit. I love it. I watch the documentary and as much as I loved it it just made me sad because he finally had all the things that he never thought he would have a wife that loved him two beautiful children that seem to adore him.❤
Thanks for these. His appearances were hysterical, but it's his honesty and point of view from his childhhod that makes his comedy so great. Just love listening to Howard and Glibert talking and cracking themselves up. So great! Thanks again.
When I was little I remember watching Gilbert in Problem Child1&2 then growing up occasionally seeing him on tv and just thinking he was a weird asian man.
Thank you for your work. If I ever find these recordings with Gilbert & Richard Lewis doing the news back in the 80s on Stern, I'll send them to you. Richard mentions them in the G.G.A.C.P. episode.
I’ve been dying to hear 80s Lewis and Belzer appearances, plus the lost Gilly ones. Only thing I ever found was a time Kinison, Judy Tenuta, Lewis, and Emo Phillips were all there together and Gilbert called in for like 3 minutes.
I know that Gilbert got banned from the show after this, but in truth this is one of the best interviews cuz he actually is serious and answering questions throughout the time he was on this particular show. I don't get it.
Spitting on the cupcakes was gross but he was encouraged by the staff and Ronnie watched the entire thing and did nothing. Perhaps it was Sirius dropping the hammer as they did with The Elegant One but Boy Gary told him "we don't book comedians anymore". Wig is petty.
one of the most unique and next level unfiltered comic genius of all time ! 1of 1! say hi to Norm up there!!!......btw, Gil, you left your hotel shampoos in7 duffle bags here!!!!!lol
Well, Doug Stanhope did exactly what Doug wanted to do. Had the exact career that he wanted. And he will end up doing pretty well for himself not Seinfeld well but he seems pretty comfortable.
These tapes are great, Gilbert was so talented, but he was also the most cruel, antisocial person you can imagine as displayed in "'N#!%& What' Calls in".
The funny thing is if I posted old Howard and Jimmy Kimmel videos to my social media (where co-workers would see) I would likely be fired particularly if I worked for sirius and disney.
Funny Gilbert making fun of Sarah Michelle Gellar saying she's not Jewish even though both her parents are. I listened to Howard for years in the 1980's and 90's and he always claimed to be half Jewish. A number of times he said he was Italian. He even tried the half Jewish thing when Ben and Rae were on the phone. You know Gilbert was aware of that!
Gilbert was the best.
A true original. A New York legend.
Unparalleled. They broke the mold when they made this guy.
R.I.P. Gilbert Gottfried. Easily one of the best guests to appear on the show throughout the years. His unique sense of humour was fantastic. Thank God he never let political correctness stand in the way of his comedy.
Dear god do I miss him! He was the first celebrity I ever got upset over when they passed away.
Gilbert Gottfried always cracks me up. What an ear for imitating and finding the joke immediately. ❤
Gilbert, Norm, Patrice all the goats. All RIP
Gilbert was my all time favorite. The News and his bits he had no script omg the show was the best with him on.
Thank you for this series. I've listened (and relistened) to all of these. As someone in their 20s I was only just recently introduced to Gilbert. He was a genius comic and artist. RIP Gilbert
time to check out his 500+ podcast episodes. enjoy! i recommend the one with Adam West as a starting point.
I’m also in my 20s and I’ve only heard of about 50 of the people Gilbert interviewed. Maybe this person should start with Jackie.

Gilbert and Richard Simmons were the best Stern show guests. Add in Belzer and Evil Dave as well and you have days of entertainment!
*Eastside Low Bottoms sh*t !*
_Tappin' in from South Central LA_
Rest easy Mr. Gottfried.
You were a gaddamn MANIAC ! 😂
It's so sad that everyone in this clip is dead
lol well done. it's rare to see an actual funny original dig at stern
He was such a treasure
Gilbert's not dead; he rose back from the dead to feast on the blood of the living!
When I was little I remember watching Gilbert in Problem Child1&2 then growing up occasionally seeing him on tv and just thinking he was a weird asian man.
Nobody knew who Seinfeld was when Gilbert was on SNL. I don’t think that would have been a workable bit.
Thank you for your work. If I ever find these recordings with Gilbert & Richard Lewis doing the news back in the 80s on Stern, I'll send them to you. Richard mentions them in the G.G.A.C.P. episode.

The day after this is the day the Stern show consciously decided to stop being funny.
lol Gilberts go to reference for a song with a big ending is "Moon River"

We all love Gilberto!!
i remember when howard stern was still alive..
😂
that was a long time ago

Everytime I see an AFLAC duck, I think Gilbert 🫡💯💯💯💯
Rest well Gilly.
WELL HELLO DEAH CHILDIN! DO YA WANTS TA SEE MY UH PEANUS?
Well, Doug Stanhope did exactly what Doug wanted to do. Had the exact career that he wanted. And he will end up doing pretty well for himself not Seinfeld well but he seems pretty comfortable.
Plus he's got that Girls Gone Wild money
These tapes are great, Gilbert was so talented, but he was also the most cruel, antisocial person you can imagine as displayed in "'N#!%& What' Calls in".
Gilbert destroyed on Stern
Everything that Gilbert and Howard talked about, like old musicians and old comedians, now refers to Howard. Very ironic.
Howard abandoned his friend Gilbert to win the approval of the woke automatons . It makes me sad 😢.😅😅😅
in howards defense gilbert did spit in his cupcake once...
@shominamimoto6972 He would have banned him anyway. Gilbert would be the last person allowed on woke Stern.
And then he was banned for no particular reason. Way to go Howchie.
Interesting Gilbert made those comments about Sarah Michelle Gellar. When Howard for years claimed to be half Jewish.
Can I touch your black Kludge for uploading this?!
Did Howard know this would be Gilly's last appearance during this visit?
😢
The funny thing is if I posted old Howard and Jimmy Kimmel videos to my social media (where co-workers would see) I would likely be fired particularly if I worked for sirius and disney.
Are you on rumble incase UA-cam deletes these
Not yet. I'm lazy.
Artie wasn't there?
No this is after Artie accidentally drank bleach & stabbed himself multiple times! Allegedly.
When Artie offed himself is when the show becomes unfunny. I mean Howard voluntarily went woke. Who does that?!
I lost all my respect for Howard when he essentially canceled Gilbert.
Gilbert: The GOAT. RIP.
26:50 tradio prank call
Howard knew it was the last time. Finally got a bit more information on his life.
Gilberto gottfrioe

33:11 *Howard getting all chubbed-up talking about money while failing to reverse-psych Gilbert into spilling the beans.*
27:00
Wig telling Gilbert he should've done Dice on SNL when Gilbert was on SNL before Dice was a thing.
I prefer the new Howard Stern
Funniest comment!
Hope this is sarcasm lol
