- Ray Charles, Cry, from his 1964 album, Sweet and Sour Tears, recorded on the ABC- Paramount label, being played on my 1961 Packard Bell stereo console. This particular album was recorded in mono. The tubed amplifier brings out the creamy rich tones in this soulful and heartfelt offering from the immortal Ray Charles. This Rock, Soul and Country hall of famer sounds sweet on this old console. This stereo is the classic look in early 60's modern furniture design. Still cranking after 50 years. This video is not intended for any piracy, profit or copyright infringement.
Love the album . .the console and the lighting is great too . .I'd go back to '63 in a heartbeat . . .
Hello, the dimensions of my main stereo which is also a Packard Bell are 68 1/4 in length, 20 1/4 deep, and 25 1/4 tall. Much bigger console than the one that I now keep in my office. I have another video of the smaller console in my office playing Zeppelin's No Quarter, but you tube muted the sound because of copyright bullshit. Anyways, I'm glad you enjoyed the immortal Ray Charles and my vintage Packard Bell console.
@Mrphatbastard1 Thanks for the comment. I'm glad you enjoyed the video. Go ahead and shake up that martini and drink one up for old (back in the day) American quality. Cheers!
Why can't they make music like this anymore... i know there's still some, but still
Anyways i noticed on your other video i commented on about the dimensions, (thanks for those by the way) the description said that it was like a mini of your other console So i had to check this one out! now im curious, whats the measurements on this one?
Im determined to find an original similar to one of yours, and if i cant find one to my liking i'll just make what i want!! haha
i do appreciate your time
