RIT on TV: Push to save the Seneca Language - on WGRZ

WGRZ reports: A growing push to keep the Seneca language alive is being led by Seneca both young and old. Among them is Robbie Jimerson, a graduate student in RIT's computer science program and resident of the Cattaraugus Indian Reservation.
That way of life is again being preserved starting at a young age, in classes, in the community, and even on computers.
From circle time, to one on one lessons with teachers. You can see and hear young kids learning the Seneca language. On the field in Gowanda, you can hear those teachings being passed down during Lacrosse games.
Jimerson has contributed by helping to design a digital dictionary for the language which works on computers - and soon - on mobile devices. To read more, go to www.rit.edu/new....

Its a waste of time, trying to save languages, that aren't being used. Its financially draining, money could be spent to enhance other parts of education, like teaching kids trades, so they can financially support themselves and their children.
