- Contemporary felt artisan Wendy Bailye shows you how to make a beautiful felt flower in a few easy steps. See Wendy's online workshops at wendybailye.com/learn-to-felt/
For this project you will need:
Wool tops in several colours, silk tops and cotton or silk threads.
You will also need a 40cm sq piece of bubble wrap, nylon netting, a bowl of warm water, soap and a plastic shopping bag.
Wendy has been felt-making for nearly 30 years and runs a vibrant felt art studio from her home in the Samford Valley, close to Brisbane, Australia. She teaches online regularly and each year presents a new in-depth felt-making class that will re-charge your creative juices! Her two classes are 50 Shades of Grey, Felt! (July 2023) and Textures and Patterns in Nature (Sept 2023)

Hello. I had a go at this method and I'm happy with the results except that my flower is a little fuzzy. Any suggestions?
Hi Linda I have not read any comments and found your s after all these years so sorry for not replying! You can add soap to the flower you made and rub it gently. It is the friction of your hands and perhaps the type of wool that makes it fuzzy!
