Here in NY (The north eastern portion) I've noticed we have oak trees that will hold their leaves throughout winter! Never really seen any other tree do that. Again, I love seeing and hearing Kevin's plans on building the shop. My late father was a civil engineer, so I have a feeling he would've like watching these videos to see Kevin's plans/ ideas. Can't wait for the next video!
Kevin has such good ideas not only will the z trim at the top save money it also saves having to put up 2 pieces of trim! I always look forward to your videos Rhonda!
We have a bunch of oaks, maples, birch, black cherry, hickory and white pine trees. The hickory trees will drop half of their leaves in the fall and then the rest in spring. We have a couple maple trees which stay green up until the first snowfall usually. Then they cover the snowy ground with greenish yellow leaves. Normally if we wait a few days, the snow will melt and we can deal with those leaves. The worst part are the hickory nuts, oak acorns and those long white pine needles. BUT I love the smell of fall when you get a foggy morning or shower.
Besides providing a neater finished appearance the Z-trim also provides the benefit of flashing to keep any water from getting under the sill plate. Smart. I like it.
Thanks for sharing your experiences with us and watching your family grow together while working on your farm . Looking forward to your next adventure.Blessings ❤️🙏🏻✝️😀🤗
Here in Florida Our Oak trees don't lose there leaves until spring time . Late Feb. thru March. Nope the leaves don't change color here either. Now on the trees like Sycamore, They just turn brown and fall , which there doing now. All of the Red Maples and Ornamental trees change color just like up North. But Water Oak and the rest of the oak family trees are spring time. Enjoyed your video, thanks for sharing.
I always enjoy your videos. Most people just dont realize the never ending hard work it takes to have a working farm. You have a strong family bond that makes it work. Stay strong, it takes courage these days. God Bless and long live the Republic. 🙏❤️✌️🇺🇲🌎
We live in Lenawee County just east of Jackson and our wells all went dry, in 54 years here we never saw this many dry wells. We are having a new well dug to 250 ft. our present wells are at 80-100 ft.
Great video Rhonda. The building is looking good. Since hurricane Helene we don't need any more rain here in western NC. Take care and have a blessed and safe day
Hello Rounda always glad to get to see you and the family yeah I remember when I was growing up the dairy would give away the calfs they were just small dairy's 🤠
Hi Ronda and Kevin and the boys excellent video you both raise boys excellent they are always helping you and their dad love families quality time plus explaining everything and as always you all be safe 🇺🇸🇺🇸🇺🇸🇺🇸
A cousin of ours used Massey products when he was farming. His cousin was a Massey dealer at Asquith, Saskatchewan. It is interesting to see how your family works together. I will watch the rest of your video after church in Calgary, Alberta.
We are at peak color here in Southern Pennsylvania. The last rain we had was on October 1st. It is very dry here. One good thing is corn and soybean harvest is ahead of most years. The wheat is coming up too. Thanks for another great video Rhonda.
Great colour in Ireland this year, our leaves are holding on well despite a bit of wind last weekend. We had a slow and late spring so maybe it’s nature’s way of keeping balance. Also we changed to winter time this weekend and got an extra hour in bed 🛌. Our animals are starting to move in to winter accommodation so extra feeding and cleaning out to be done. Happy farming 🇮🇪
Thank you Rhonda for sharing your family's journey !!!! We are at peak colors here in the mountains of far southwestern Virginia. Kevin is an intelligent young man. He does everything with thought and planning. Job well done Mr. Kevin!!! Please be careful and God bless you all!!!! Eddy
Ronda and Kevin, I live in the high desert of Idaho. We don't have many trees. Originally in Pennsylvania when we lived there. It was driving around day when leaves peaked before a wind.
We had frost again this morning west of St Louis, MO. There are a few trees that have changed, but I don't think the colors will be very pronounced this year due to the lack of rain. I can see why Kevin chose the Z trim for the bottom, if any condensation were to form on the steel, it would just run off, whereas a J trim would collect it. Blessings to the family, and farm.
Our daughter, son-in-law, and grandchildren live in northwest New Mexico. The only trees that turn are aspens that quickly turn from green to yellow and then drop their leaves, all in about a week.
Down here in Florida the fall season is very subtle. If you’re not paying close attention you could miss it. Not much color change at all. Winter in Florida is perfect though. We finally get a break from the heat and the air can be crisp and cool with no humidity! Perfection in my book. ✌🏻❤️🇺🇸🙏🏻🌎
Great concept the modified J channel trim, and looks good up on the wall. The trees are changing colour but not so much further south. From dark green to lighter under the hot sun. Arizona 80 degrees now 90 degrees on average, but very dry. Gotta take a visit and dry out.
Greetings from the shenandoah valley of virginia. Really enjoy your channel and watching your family. I am located close to where the blue ridge parkway starts and rode up on it yesterday. I believe we are a bit past peak here. The elevation of the parkway is close to 2000-2500’ in this area. We have been in a severe drought until the last tropical system came through, and it’s getting dry again. Blessings to you and your family.
Another great video. I lived in Florida for the past 23 years ( Orlando ) and the leaves are either green or brown - very boring, was glad to be back in PA. and see the fall colors. I am originaly from Pennsylvania and did miss the fall and winter.
Good luck with the remainder of harvest we are very dry here and very high fire danger we're located about 50 miles north of Saginaw MI on the eastern side of the state
Florida here. Most trees here are green all the way until they turn brown, drop to the ground and end up on the compost pile. Not much color down here.
In SW Pennsylvania we haven’t had any significant rain since early June. We never got a 2nd cutting of hay. All the creeks and runs are dried up. Hoping we get some rain soon. Thanks for sharing your video.
Wonderful and informative video Ronda! Early in the video you guys mentioned the dry conditions. Here in South Central Kansas over 98% of Kansas is in drought. One of the Wichita water sources (lake) is eight feet below normal. Also, thank you (and Kevin) for explaining the trim in the workshop. I am working to build a workshop in the spring and your videos and information are VERY helpful! Denise and I wish you and Kevin (and family) a great week!
The trim you made is also available ready made, it's sold as F&J in most states. I don't know the prices to compare, great to see your attention to detail. Keep up the great work. Happy farming 😊
My Sunday afternoon show 👍👍😀 here in north central Kansas very dry planted wheat in the dust it won’t come up unless it rains ponds and springs have gone dry.
The saying on are farm here in Western Pennsylvania as far as wheat is concerned is so in the mud your crop will be a dud sow get in the dust your granary will bust
Here in central Texas we are in a mini drought plus heat above normal so there is little or no color (ugly brown due to dryness) and most tree leaves have not fallen yet. Only once a couple years ago with a good long cold snap in late November did we ever have really good colors (brilliant ambers and reds).
Very nicely done video as always! Seems like you got a surplus of shell corn. The shop will be done just in time for winter projects. Your friend from Virginia.😊😊
Rhonda around here we were able to road a 19 ft head on the machine. That's the biggest I want to road! We are very dry also. The little Arkansas River has no stream flow. A couple of creeks in this area are dry.
Here in Ohio we have hauled water for the livestock for over two months because the water tanks that are spring fed have dried up. Our pond is down over a foot. No rain in sight.
Western, NY here (45 minutes East of Niagara Falls), and we're past peak, like you guys, we had some winds day before yesterday, and they really helped get the leaves off the trees. The calves look nice and healthy - you guys do such a great job with your cattle. The Z trim looks really good Kevin! Thanks for sharing!!!
Here in the middle of North Carolina or as we are referred to the piedmont. Ours are about a week and half into leaves 🍁 turning. And I have a live oak tree that never loses its leaves it gets thin from new growth leaves coming in but never completely loses them. It’s original from the coast and southern part of my state and south eastern states. It stays green all year round. Wish I knew how to put a picture of it on here where you could see it it’s kinda cool
That combine picks the kernels whole and spits out everything else. That's magical. Was the atv the one with the blasted motor? That j trim doesn't seem right. It would hold water.
Here in NE Texas the trees that change color are oak, maple, pecan, and a few others. Mostly they turn shades of yellow and brown but pretty just the same. Hardly any reds. Leaves are turning now and starting to fall but temps are still in the 80's during the day.
We had peak Fall leafs about 3 to 4 weeks ago depending on what part of the state you are in. Utah I went from North Eastern Utah to Southern Utah then and it was great
I like how Kevin shows the viewers his thinking on whenever he is doing.

Beech trees hold them til the buds push them off. Our Oaks are stubborn , but come off in early Winter.
@@57fitter Where are you from?
Kevin has such good ideas not only will the z trim at the top save money it also saves having to put up 2 pieces of trim! I always look forward to your videos Rhonda!
All looking great, another Awesome job love you all from Australia ❤❤❤❤❤

Thanks Rhonda, fun video..the river, fall colors and Kevin’s info on what’s going on. Cute calves! Always appreciate your content! God bless❤
Great video, love watching you guys. In Nevada we don't have trees, so no, they don't turn. I did drive the 2-1/2 hours to Reno and saw some trees.
Welcome to my hometown of Saranac Keven&Rhonda.
Have a safe trip back home....

That barn is going to be sweet😎 Great update! I’m across the lake from you and we are almost past peak!

UA-cam must be paying pretty good nowadays your guys are doing some awesome updates
We had wind trees are bare. Time to start working in woods. Logs to cut and maple lines to fix. Lil corn left to do. It’s dry here too
Very smart idea about the Z flashing! Great video.
Great video Rhonda. The building is looking good. Since hurricane Helene we don't need any more rain here in western NC. Take care and have a blessed and safe day
Use to play in the Rocky River at Bat Cave. Praying for everyone there.
@@rearlt Thanks❤️

The trees has lost almost all their leafs here, they are talking about first snow late next week as well 🥶 And Jerry is adorable💚
Kevin , out running around with your gal again , keep it up !
A cousin of ours used Massey products when he was farming. His cousin was a Massey dealer at Asquith, Saskatchewan. It is interesting to see how your family works together. I will watch the rest of your video after church in Calgary, Alberta.
The center of the British Empire!
Our trees in Adelaide have almost fiiled out and the jacarandas are about to flower leading into summer.😊
I agree with you Kevin
I like the z trim
We are at peak color here in Southern Pennsylvania. The last rain we had was on October 1st. It is very dry here. One good thing is corn and soybean harvest is ahead of most years. The wheat is coming up too. Thanks for another great video Rhonda.
Here in upstate NY our trees are past peak and mostly fallen off. Enjoy your videos.

Another great video
I love the way you're trimming out your shop. It's working a lot better than the j trim, I can see that.
Shop you working on , nicest than my house, lol, is it anything Kevin can't do. Keep the video rolling , love it
Ronda and Kevin, I live in the high desert of Idaho. We don't have many trees. Originally in Pennsylvania when we lived there. It was driving around day when leaves peaked before a wind.
Good idea with the trim.
You must have a good Massey dealer/ salesman in your area, thank you for your work.
Yes we do!
GOOD WORK!....
Bravo Rhonda Kevin always the best posts. Blessings 🙏🏻
All looks good 👍
I live in Connecticut and the leaves have changed and are almost off of the trees- first time viewer of your channel.
Welcome to our channel!!

What a lovely scene of the fall along the river
I really have been enjoying the longer videos with you and your family. Keep up the good work.😊
Thank you so much!

We’re really low on precipitation at one point south of St. Louis you can walk halfway across the Mississippi River.
Yes at tower rock near Wittenberg MO
Morning guys hope everyone is happy and healthy and staying safe you guys have a great day 😊
The z trim looks great and won't hold dirt
Thats called the drip rail for the wall panel. All it really does is keep moisture from going back up behind the sheeting.
Our peak of autumn leaves change is end of April thru to end of May in Australia
I am excited for you to have a nice shop to work in.
We are excited for it too!
Next you need to try growing some Soybeans for the cows.
The trim you made is also available ready made, it's sold as F&J in most states. I don't know the prices to compare, great to see your attention to detail. Keep up the great work. Happy farming 😊

Wow!
That stuff you call the treatment. It looks like angle iron to me so take it from there. This is Adams Hudsonville.✅✅✅
Kevin keep those torsion springs oiled. Oily rag and wipe them down!
Feliz Navidad! 😂
Hi. Here in Quebec the leaves 3 weeks ago were at there peak now they are completely gone.
Another great vid!
