Dear Dumb Diary is DEFINITELY not a knockoff of Dork Diaries. It has a COMPLETELY different style of humor than both Wimpy Kid and Dork Diaries, but it's an acquired taste to be sure. Dork Diaries though is LITERALLY just the "girls' version" of Wimpy Kid and it's a pretty boring high school drama. Not much else to say other than that. And yes, Big Nate is really good and funny.

Try a big nate book. It can either be the novel or the comics whatever one you pick. The series is really good.

Honestly the big nate is one of the best series for books. The comic series such as Big nate from the top and many others have humor targeted to a more mature audience which makes them comedic gold.
