This moment had me in tears! Jocasta's story and Murtaugh desperately wanting to *finally* get the woman he loves, not to mention the incredible acting. They play off each other so well, you can feel the emotion. Maria and Duncan both did so well in this scene, it's truly wonderful!
Jocasta's story about her daughters made me cry along with her. I can't imagine losing all of your children in one night because of what you believed in and the choice your husband made.
Why can't Murtaugh be happy 😭 this was so sad 😢😔😭
He’s a soldier he can’t be content unless he’s at war. I know a lot of guys like that great family men good with kids and a generally great person but they can’t be content at home. Very sad but it’s just the truth of real mean who are warriors no matter what time period.
Such a powerful scene between these two. Duncan and Maria did such an excellent job with this star-crossed relationship.
She has done very well with the Scots accent. Seems Murtagh always has to lose, something, someone, and still he is faithful to those he cares about, he risked his life more than once to protect and defend. Bravo to both actors.
She's amazing with accents. She was in The Tudors (Catherine of Aragon) and Downton Abbey as well.
I'm not usually especially good at placing actors I've seen in other roles, but I began to wonder whether she played Vera Bates in Downton Abbey, and indeed she did!

I cannot stand that the writers kept Murtagh only to kill him off, and add more pain to the character Jocasta. She lost her daughters, her husband, and the man she truly loved.

this episode really changed my view of Jocasta💗2:01-2:10 the way Murtaugh cuddles and kisses her💗it usually sounds a very romantic situation for me but in here,it not💔because I could literally see and hear the sound of her pain😭😭😭
This was the most powerful heartbreaking scene of the whole season
I really, really like Murtaugh. He's so handsome with his gray hair. Too bad he couldn't stay around until the end with Jamie.
A msn if principle. It's hard to be with a man like that. Because you do sacrifice a lot. You have to have principles as strong as theirs. It would have never worked between them.

In books Murtagh loves (d) Jamies's mother. I do not remember him pining for both of the sisters? Also in season 1 (jewellery Murtagh gave his "great love", Jamie's mother) I did not like - somehow contaminates things.
In the books, at this point, Murtagh isn't a part of the story anymore, I don't wanna spoil anything.
