Civil War Digital Digest Oh I understand that. :) I just meant more a spotlight on its construction, issuance, how it was used in drill and combat, etc.
Now if you can just get the "Officers" to properly carry and perform the sword manual. As a Marine in NCO school we had to learn how to properly carry and drill with a sword. SgtMaj Ferrel would have a field day with these chicken winging knuckleheads that do not know that the sword must be carried at the same relative position as the arms of the men.
“Broad strokes.” Nice one :)
Very interesting did they still refer to officers as having sabers only and NCOs having swords only as they do now
There were both swords and sabers for officers. We just happened to show two swords.
Any chance at getting a video spotlighting the 1840 NCO sword? :)
We will consider it. For now, the nomenclature doesn’t change between the weapons so you have a chance to see it all here.

That helps! Let us dig into it and see what we can come up with. Welcome to the coffee grinders!
