Completely random putting this here, but you're talking about computer code. I programmed a C64 version of my app, its proof of concept. After mapping out all functions of the C64 code, using an everdrive type device, ive created an A.I. on the C64. It randomises shapes & colours with complex algorithms that generates 8 bit works of art, & also uses the 16 bit colour illusion algorithm. I've generated code that intertwines from the bottom, or from the sides that resemble a video buffer, & from a distance, you get a playing video vibe. I've also generated code, that can be injected while the code is still running like, ascii video of a spinning cube & you can change the spin direction of the cube while the code is running, I might be able to do an ascii version of Doom! Generating code on a modern computer to execute through the C64, you can easily & quickly bottleneck the System RAM, so I assigned memory from the ever drive as RAM with a hell of a lot of bank switching, driven by code. Im testing an ascii converted film trailer & live streaming straight off a cassette tape through the extended system memory along with an audio track. I didn't mean to be too nerdy, I'm sorry!😅
I think I’ll wait for the point’n click remake … jokes aside, this is great fun :) I remember my first text adventure on the c64, the hobbit, amazing, and quest for the holy grail, first one I actually finished, *before* watching the movie!! And I was stuck, wrote to the magazine commodore user’s adventure column for help, managed to solve it after a week, bit then 2 months later I got a written reply with the solution from Keith at commodore user - what a time to be alive indeed :)
THAT is so cool! I played some text adventures back in the 80s that were so entertaining. I must try this out (in my favorite Atari 800 emulator, of course)...

"It is covering something":GOTO 1100 ... what is this mysterious "ROC" item? ...it seems that if you push it, it makes the cart move ... but that is what the whale grease on the rusty wheels is for ... my guess is that it is the part of a puzzle that got removed?

I was chating with chatgpt the other day about an interface for it to communicate directly to various 8bit computers and i think it would be cool to do. Its already quite familiar with the various BASIC variants. It even successfully converted several commodor 64 programs to run on ti99-4A for me, albeit with some obvious hardware restrictions.

When I use CHATGPT and it chunks as it thinks of answers it makes me think of Infocom games accessing the disk as it parses stuff :)

The original game had a rock you moved to reveal a hole. Mine cart made more sense.
