At least until very recently, for several years, this show was a regular rerun on Australian free-to-air television, in all its un-PC glory. Even Kingswood Country was still doing the rounds from time to time too.
This has not been on free to air in Melbourne, as a series, since the 90s. What are you smoking? Australian TV and it's media has created a population of ignorant fools.
Simply 1980s genius!!! Unbelievable...God! comedy along with cars, sports, music, politics and everything else of 21st century completely gone by the wayside. Thank God for 1980's, last era where there was TV and comedy worth watching. hilarious
This was the best episode, and it is based on a true story. Maintenance put in the wrong size screws to hold in a forward window in the cockpit. THe window flew out, and one of the pilots was indeed "sucked out" of the plane. That the guys were able to parody this is simply brilliant.
Like these guys were great and like today, we just could NOT get away with this or half the stuff that Fast Forward and like Hey Hey It's Saturday got away with in the 90's! They were good days! Lol.
No doubt some SJW would have the cast of this up on an 18C charge before the Human Rights Commission if this was broadcast these days. So glad the thought police weren't about when these shows first aired. Just brilliant stuff.
The good old days are useful now days because as our speech is slowly being gagged, we are forced into a situation where innuendo is more important than ever. Apples and pears will be making a come back.
We don’t have any guarantees of free speech at all. That was entirely gone by the time anti-vilification and anti-discrimination laws were put in place at the insistence of communists and jewish lobby groups like the ADL
The funny thing about this is nothing has changed. People are still gay still talk like this still gravitate to certain jobs still do things back in the 80s-90s that were considered “not normal” then The only difference is TODAY we are supposed to accept every absurdity as being NORMAL are heaven forbid if you see humour in this we are told we are being insensitive and might hurt their feelings. The P C world we are forced to live in is humourless and all about people’s “feelings”. The world is doomed
Gays have a long history as airline stewards but in 2024 I encountered my first steward of indeterminate gender. Still wondering what letter of the alphabet they are.
Reading the comments on so many of these videos, I have to wonder why conservatives get off so much on imagining liberals taking offense? Liberals are often the people who tend to make this kind of satire. Because unlike conservatives we are able to laugh at ourselves. Fantasizing about the past as a golden era for your own prejudice is inaccurate enough, why do you need to project on creative people that they would have agreed with you.
marshhen ... Yeah, you can act in comedies and write comedies UNTIL someone in the groupthink-tank TELLS YOU that the very kind of comedy you used to perform and/or enjoy is NOW (and henceforth) “triggering” or “politically incorrect,” and then you switch to “lecturing-style comedy,” which is weak as water and witless as worms. That’s what preachy Leftism does to humor-it cuts the soul and lifeblood out of comedy. These skits could NOT be made today and you know it.
Oh get over it. I’m gay and I always found these two funny because there’s people really like this. And guess what, I’m no offended at everything Lefty.
Them trying not to laugh is even funnier than the jokes. LOL LOL LOL

Money on the fridge
Only ever saw this repeated on pay tv in QLD never repeated on free to air. They did have a few greatest of specials but that's it.
This has not been on free to air in Melbourne, as a series, since the 90s.

Australian TV and it's media has created a population of ignorant fools.
I've only seen Fast Forward season 1 on DVD. I'd love to see both Forward and Full Frontal on a streaming service (or even 7Plus).
more than 30 years later and still hilarious
Never realised how much Michael Veich looks like Gary Newman in this skit.
Still bloody hilarious after all these decades.
Always love seeing Steve trying not to laugh 😂
"I was in the cockpit when the captain was sucked out"...that actually happened.
This is brilliant: the OTT effeminate voices and mannerisms, the obvious innuendo, and Michael and Steve nearly cracking.
I didn't understand it as a kid, as a 43 year old......hilarious.

It’s one of my favourite plane disaster survival tales, that one. Some good vids about it on YT
Love to see them be able to do this now. The pc woke crowd have killer humour.
I loved this show, and all the gay mates I know loved it too.
Yep,
cracking certain jokes....and it will land you in court.
Rodney Rude....he would not last a day today!
"L must have sat on a lever. I didnt notice". Very good.
The acting is superb as well as the script writing. Both actors struggling there at a point not to laugh.
jack hackett Steve's jaw movement from side to side.. It's more fun watching them trying not to laugh...
You should have seen the Kung Fu sketch.
@@mariacheng4226 the actors were always trying not to laugh in these skits. Gotta love the early 90s!
I miss the days when we could laugh at ourselves. So sick of everyone walking on egg shells and word policing.
Same.
Bloody oath!!
This show took the piss out of everybody and they never received a single complaint
That's because communism is gradually installed so people wont notice and then one day you will wake up in totalitarianism.
Like these guys were great and like today, we just could NOT get away with this or half the stuff that Fast Forward and like Hey Hey It's Saturday got away with in the 90's! They were good days! Lol.
And.....like...like....like.....(rolls eyes).
Yup Nath, what a shame, loved all these shows.
Nath Stone Like yeah like.
Look up Air Affrkaans for a laugh too.
Someone should just make a show like this again...who cares if some people are offended, they don't have to watch it!
'and before you could say Alan Joyce I grabbed him' lol
I thought he said Peter Allen who was a very famous gay entertainer at the time
THIS IS FUNNY SHIT........
Alan Joyce early in his career.
Good to see some good comedy🇦🇺
love Michael Veitch
did you still love Michael Veitch when Fast Forward was axed then replaced with Full Frontal?
More innuendo than an Italian chimist.
Mark, I *suppository you're right. My late aunty worked on this show.
Very nice
THIS IS COMEDY!! Not the politically correct crap that's served up these days. For fucks sake! Wake up!!
Come on UA-cam, when are you going to 1984 this ?
Gold!
Farout you couldn't do this today 🤣
Count paul gabroski. Count paul gabroski. Now give a hand to paul gabroski.
Damn funny stuff
Brilliant. What do we have now, stupid cooking shows.
Based on a true story where a BAC111 airliner, with the same actions and outcomes.
Need to bring back this good days when common sense prevailed over PC lunacy. Tide will change, just wait...
When Australia was great :(
So true.
Shame about the sooks of today this stuff was funny!
Classic !
Veich is gold
Classic.....

just like real life...
How sad the rulers say we are Not allowed to laugh any longer

It would be never ending litigation!
